Oorlogs Kloof Mountain Retreat Montagu

The accommodation is immaculate, like a home from home. Easy indoor/outdoor living and the pool a great bonus. We saw many wild birds and a buck and mongoose from our BBQ area. Seeing the stars in an area with no light pollution is amazing. The hosts are very warm, welcoming and have good communication. Well signposted hikes on the property. Thank you Oorlogs!

Erica was a great host, Cottages have everything you need in beautiful surroundings

Peaceful and private cottages with exceptional views of the mountains and valley below. Comfortable beds. A friendly and considerate host. Good walks and a dam for bird watching, paddling and swimming.

Nothing.

Surrounded by mountains, nature, and serenity. The Wilde Olyf cottage was exceptional, clean, neat, and modern with everything you need. Hiking trials was amazing. This was our best get away from the city so far. Hosts are exceptionally friendly, warm and welcoming. Thank you Nic and Nna. We'll see you again. Interesting note: In the Bible, the olive tree symbolizes peace, hope, new beginnings. The olive tree and its abundant fruit were seen as signs of God's provision, favor, and blessing on the land

There is honestly nothing that we were dissatisfied about.

What a treat to have discovered this wonderful tranquil getaway set in the middle of nature. Well equipped with all you need and more. Loved the extra details, which made us feel special. Thanks, Nina, and your team for being attentive during our stay. We were blessed with wonderful weather, especially for the middle of winter! And managed to enjoy a few adventures along the various trails around the property. From leisurely walks to some aspiring mountaineering... there's something for all set in this most beautiful breathtaking landscape. We thoroughly enjoyed our family time stay and hope to visit again soon! Blessings to you all!

The gravel road was surprisingly good, but a word of caution that it is definitely not a road for low suspension vehicles. Our hatch with the 4 of us managed well.
