Cricket Field House

Location was quiet and a short drive to town. Room was spacious and comfortable. Lady at check in was very friendly and breakfast had a good selection.

The only thing that let our room down was the condition of the bathroom grout which could do with a good scrub. Other than that nothing to note.

Breakfast was excellent, good choice of local produce, freshly cooked to order. Parking free and plenty of space. Location is convenient to main road but was quiet, no disturbance from traffic.

Room decor was tired, surfaces were dusty, bathroom shower seals black mould, towels were dingy. TV was unplugged, had to crawl under unit to plug in. Room described as a suite but just a bed and two chairs, no desk or sofa etc. Double bed was just two singles pushed together.

Breakfast was a proper English breakfast with all the trimmings, and you couldn't ask for a better, more genuine and engaging host. Helen and Jason were easily the best hosts for any B&B we've ever stayed with. Room was spacious, clean, very well appointed and exceptionally well lighted (both natural light and fixtures). The room we had included a cute little kitchenette, and it had everything we might need if we were staying for weeks instead of a couple of nights.

Tough one... the only thing we can dredge up was the door strike for the bathroom was catching on the strike plate and it was a little difficult to open that door. Does our inability to stay longer count as something we didn't like?!

We were bowled over by the friendly, professional and accommodating hostess. Generous, tasty breakfast with a large choice. This accommodation fulfills all expectations of a super English B & B. The accommodation is located on the main Wilton Road but at night it was very quiet. Baldrick.
