Richcoast Darocotan El Nido

04-06.05.2026 I got this place recommended by a fellow traveler, and I absolutely loved it! The location is incredibly relaxing and authentic, offering a truly special experience. The huts are simple, but the beds are very comfortable. Both breakfasts and dinners were excellent. The crew was fantastic—special thanks to Wil, Marcel, and Judy for taking care of me like I was part of their family. I also want to give a big shoutout to the boat crew: Norman, Dodoy, and Arah. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a genuine and memorable getaway!

Paradise island !

The accommodation is on the beach, the beach is pretty nice and it is possible to snorkel at a ship wreck with a lot a different fish from the beach.

The hotel cancelled our booked transportation to the island the evening before our arrival and we had to go by tuk tuk and a small fisherman's boat instead. The accommodation was expensive for what you get. The food is boring. Many dogs are running around. Cats were sleeping in our house in the morning. The sheets in our house were old and there were holes in the mosquito nets. The personnel of the accommodation sang karaoke in hours daily. The island is not the paradise it possible was before, the hotels have expanded to much. I recommend you to stay at another accommodation on the island or only visit Darocotan Island as a day visitor.

The hotel is very rustic and basic,but you are not visiting this place for the hotel.It’s the dreamy beach that it rests against that’s the star attraction.The hotel food is fresh and exceptionally tasty.

The beach huts that you stay in are basic shacks and situated next to a noisy bar where loud music and karaoke plays until 10pm.The private boat trip excursions are also massively overpriced.

Ménage non fait à notre arrivée, chasse d'eau disfonctionnelle, pas de pommeau de douche, service au restaurant long alors qu'on était seule, fermeture du restaurant à 21h, commande du petit déjeuner à 8h, à 8h30 nous dit qu'il n'y a plus de pain, servi ensuite à 8h45 et nous devions partir à 9h. Les petits déjeuners étaient compris avec la chambre, finalement nous les avons payé en plus, le matin réveil très tôt par des personnes qui chantaient et parlaient forts.

Very nice location and the staff was very cool The eco bungalows were surprisingly comfortable as well as clean

- Beautiful surroundings and relatively quiet. - Clear blue water on a very beautiful island. - An interesting shipwreck available for diving, located 10 minutes away. - A nice lady as the manager. - The food we order there was tasty.

- Toilet : No warning about the lack of hot water, which made some nights uncomfortable. Also, when we arrived, the sink could be cleaner, there was used dirty soap from the previous guests in the sink. Places can me simple but clean. - Workers played loud music past midnight on two nights, - Occasionally, there was an unpleasant gutter-like smell on the beach in front of the property, possibly due to nearby construction work, not sure. This smell was not present in other parts of the island. - No contacts or partnerships for el nido tours. So we had to ask around the island and, of course, in the other places we werent their guests so they couldn't care less and provided lousy service.

Everything here is amazing! I stayed in the more quiet camp in what can only be described as a treehouse with an amazing view over the beach with clean bathroom and excellent shower pressure. Everything was perfect! The staff went above and beyond - a special shout out to  Marcy and Jerry, thank you for making my stay so comfortable and the food so tasty. The island itself has its own vibe which is contagious. Darocotan and it's people will stay in my heart forever!  - Julia you are a diamond in the rough, keep doing what you are doing x

Nothing, everything was perfect!

Staff was helpful and hospitable. The beach and location was beautiful. The food was good as well.

Beds were not comfortable for me personally because of back issues and body pain.
