Hotel Silk Inn Madarao

Great ski in ski out hotel. Great staff always helpful. Good value for money stay.

Facilities and Rooms are a bit dated

Excellent staff and customer service. Public and private onsen facilities were great. Location handy for ski-in and ski-out. Family room with en-suite was good value.

Breakfast was good but some variety would be better - especially when staying for a week.

Good location for skiing, practically ski-in / ski-out. Very helpful staff, most had limited English but were very kind, especially Mr Noda, who is a real gentleman. The hotel is dated, but well kept. Public areas are a little cold, but the rooms were well-heated. Public bath was great after a day on the slopes and the private bath was a unique experience. Breakfast and dinner were the same everyday, but with a good selection of dishes to choose from. Hotel provided free pick up from and drop off at the bus stop.

The beds are very hard.

Good variety for breakfast. Onsen and basic shop on site. Shuttle service up to resort hotel. Friendly staff. Clip in and ride from a short walk across the road.

Room was small for four people. Buffet dinner was expensive if not bought in advance. Other eating options outside of the hotel required travel.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Great breakfasts with Japanese and western options. Hotel shuttle picked us up and dropped us back at the bus stop. They were also happy to drop us at our ski hire spot. The onsen was great a day skiing.

Friendly staff. Spacious room. Lovely food.
