Happy Feet Diyaluma

We have chosen this accommodation thanks to its location within a walking distance from both upper and lower Diyaluma waterfalls. For a one-night stay with this purpose, its an ideal choice. The accommodation manager is also very nice, kind and helpful.

In Sri Lanka, most of the rooms have open spaces above windows. In every other place we stayed in, these spaces were equiped with insect screen, but not here. As there is also no mosquito net provided by the accomodation, dont expect to be alone in your room at night (mosquitos, ants, geckos).

Very comfortable accommodation with a very friendly host. Everything extremely clean and tidy. All carpentry beautifuly done by host father. The breakfast is abundant and very tasty. Dinner can also be arranged. Dinner was excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. Nearby is a beautiful waterfall, which can be reached by a short walk through the forest. If you find yourself on the way to or from Ella and need a short break, I highly recommend this accommodation.

Perfect location if you wanna go to the Diyaluma falls! Our host was amazing and sweet, food that he prepared was super! Clean and tidy rooms!

We spent 3 nights here. Usually guests take only one night to see the waterfall. The host is very friendly. He offers home cooked food. You can rent a scooter from him. The rooms are small but sufficient for the waterfall visit. You fall asleep with the jungle sounds. The host immediately responded to improvements and showed his interest.

No mosquite net Hygiene must improve.

This place is so wonderful. The cleanest place I have been to in Sri Lanka, or any other countries for that matter. The views from the bedroom and communal space are wonderful across the jungle and we saw some monkeys! The beds are super comfy and I had the best sleep. It’s very close to Diyaluma Falls where we drove to the start of the trail in the tuktuk we rented. We felt relaxed and at home as soon as we walked through the door. We had dinner when we arrived and then breakfast and lunch the following day and all the food was delicious! Tharaka is the best host, nothing is too much trouble and we had a lovely time chatting and getting to know him. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

WOW! The best place I’ve been to in Diyaluma, Sri Lanka. Very quiet, peaceful. Fantastic atmosphere. Super clean & fresh! Supper worthy for money you spent.Owner is super kind, generous, very friendly person & helped me with everything that we need and asked for! Gave us extra from everything and made this experience the best that I had In Diyaluma, Sri Lanka. Foods also super worthy for the price and really delicious. Beautiful room, the bed also was very comfortable. We stayed for 3 days, perfect place for meditation, reading, wandering in the nature, swim next to the waterfall (Upper Diyaluma Falls - 1km away from this place) and just relax… Thank you for this experience hope to come back again soon!
