Charnock Farm

Entirely mediocre. Not a complaint it was just an ok experience.

A couple of little dirty spots in room, light switch’s and tea station. Radiator in bathroom didn’t work so cold. Heavy ass bedroom door and creaky floorboards on landing. Quite noisy at night with plant across the road. Menu at the mill was not great and staff were ok. Becky was lovely.

Location was good, bar was convenient and had a good selection, reasonably priced too.

Very slight issue was the shower doors didn't quite close but it was really a minor thing

The Green light in bedroom is bright even though someone had placed tissue paper over it

Lighting to our pod on the first night was non-existent until gone 10pm. We were not told where the toilets were so went to the toilet block for the shopping arcade,which apparently shut at 9. We were informed about the toilet block in the Shepherd hut by the lady feeding ducks on the pond.The main focus of attention seemed to be on a wedding party planned for the Friday or Saturday.

This was my third stay at Charnock and not likely to be my last. The staff are the bonus, you are treated like a welcome guest rather than a number. A special shout out to the girls on the reception and to Linda who maintains the rooms to a fantastic standard, all lovely ladies. Any request made are never a bother and all go above expectations. I hope the owners reads this feedback and recognises and reward them as they are the establishments ‘stars’ and I’m sure why many make return visits.

I’m struggling to think of anything! Room was lovely. warm and clean with comfortable beds, powerful showers, lots of hot water, nice clean towels. A credit to the staff.
