Staff is nice and the spot is cute. Nice little courtyard where everyone mingles. You can't escape the drunk karaoke as the rooms are all around the courtyard, but at least they stop it at a decent time (sadly some people stay behind to chat, the drunker they get, the louder they are, but that's just how it is pretty much everywhere )

Basic dorm, beds glued to each others. The owner (or staff) was sleeping in the dorm with us and had his phone vibrating all night, not great. Some people leave early the next day, somehow they feel it's normal to yell as if it's noon even though they're in front of the room... Again, a bit independent from the quality of the place, but the staff enforcing a quiet rule up to 7 could be nice

Very rude host. We were on the top floor and it's a wooden floor, and he kept telling us to "walk gently", but it's not possible to not have noise when walking on that floor. We booked a private room and got a room inside a dorm with just a wooden door as seperation- so you can hear everything around you. We took it because he said we would have the whole floor for ourselves, but the next morning got upset that we put stuff outside of the room. Anything we asked for he wanted extra money for. Also very overpriced rooms and dinner- 1 million dong for a hot pot per person!!! Very little facilities- The rooms were very hot and there was not even a fan. The toilets are outside. There are no hot water. We wanted to make ourself food in the morning and asked to use the kitchen (we had everything just needed gas), he said 100,000 for every 30 minutes , worst place we've ever been to. Wish i could rank lower then 1 star, don't go there.

The place was quite romantic located in country side, with little garden, the host was super friendly, there was evening bonfire, my bed cost only 4 euros and it was great, had soft balnket, fresh good smelling sheets, everything was clean, the bathroom is nice. Its really good value for price.

There are no walls in the dormetory, but I was the only guest so, got lucky.

i know i booked during Tết, which probably affected the pricing, but. I booked a private double room, which I got, but it was adjacent to the dorm with just a thin wall, so keep that in mind. The private bathroom and especially the toilet was dirty and the bin was full of materials from previous guests. We did not get any towels at all, there's no kettle to warm yourself up with a tea or coffee, but you can buy it. It is cold during the winter months with no option to heat it up, so as a white person, keep that in mind too. The bedding is not the warmest we've seen around the north, but not the coldest either. It's a 9 for 200k, but 630k... Next time I'd stay in Dong Van, which I wanted to avoid at first place, but it's simply not worth paying extra and getting less. Sorry for a bad, but a honest, review.
