"Great location in a comfortable cottage."

8.0

Very comfy and clean cottage in a great location. Spar shop was very convenient straight across the road.

TV was listed as a facility but no aerial connected to watch live TV. Would have been nice to watch ladies world rugby final and first live strictly show! Also no washing up liquid or tea towel for doing small amounts of washing up rather than using the dishwasher. Some soap in the bathroom would have been appreciated.

Location was great, spar shop right across the street. Nice garden. Washing machine was useful during our break on the coast to coast walk.

No WiFi, which seems to be an ongoing problem, and the owner never replied to our messages about it. Not very clean, some cobwebs and spiders throughout the house. Weird smell in the bathroom, flush button was stuck sometimes and only half a roll of toilet paper. Not enough cutlery in the kitchen and hardly any supplies.

"Don't stay here"

1.0

Absolutely nothing

We arrived to a rubbish bag left outside the front door, and another in the kitchen. The beds upstairs were stripped, with sheets left on the floor. The toilet was unable to be flushed, but previous guests had continued to use it. Rang owner, he said cleaning company had obviously not been in and he was unable to get a plumber. Consequently we were unable to stay and had to find somewhere else at short notice. Owner said he would arrange refund via booking .com, which he did. He seemed to think this was sufficient and was not prepared to offer us any compensation for the inconvenience and extra costs we had as a result. An awful experience.

"A good place to stay for a few nights - we had a local family event and it was just what we needed."

7.0

The location is excellent, the house was very clean and everything provided was very nice. The upstairs bedrooms were lovely and the beds were very comfortable. We didn't get a chance to use the garden which was a pity as it looked very inviting.

Although there were housekeeping instructions they did not tally with what was actually there - ie, no laundry bag for sheets etc and no outside bin to put rubbish into. We discovered that other people had had the same problem as there were a couple of full rubbish bags in the shed outside the back door. The upstairs beds were very comfortable, although a lower tog duvet would have been good, but the sofa bed was very uncomfortable.

Great location, easy check in and lovely property

Toilet sounded as if the cistern was constantly filling after maintenance came out
