The Clarendon Hotel

The hotel is lovely and clean, hotel receptionist was welcoming and polite, a credit to your hotel. Room was large for a single and extremely clean. Went down for breakfast and it felt like I checked into a different place. Miserable waiter serving, I don't like the set up of ticking what items you want for your breakfast and it's inconvenient having to decide the night before if you want a cooked breakfast.

The breakfast staff was a huge let down. Miserable staff members. Set up not great.

Excellent location and nice place with character. Great fish and chip shop around the corner.

Would have been nice to have an iron.

The location was excellent on the foreshore and with plenty of walking along the promenade to be had. The staff were very friendly and the parking was excellent. They had a lift to help get bags to the third floor. The hotel had a two roomed apartment which suited us.

The carpets were very dirty the solid floors were clean but we were put off by the grubby carpet. The decor is shabby dated and bed was old and slightly saggy.

Free Breakfast suffice. Toast just took for ever to brown. Ordered a cooked breakfast day 2. That also suffice. Car parking amazing and free next to hotel . Lovely views over bay, but our window was nt air tight n needed bit repair round sealant so bit draughty. But had a wonderful stay n time. Family's rooms when they arrived was very good. Satisfied with hotel overall and would definitely stay again. Very obliging. Everything walking distance. Marvellous really for such a historic building

Just as bit of repair to sealant round window it didn't seal well. Had to climb on chair to open n close as only 5 foot. Bit dust had been missed both sides of toilet shelf. Fire alarm went off 4.25 am by some silly resident smoking in their room , we could have done with out lol. But that wasn't the hotels fault

Great location on the sea front, friendly helpful staff, room was clean and well appointed, and had all the facilities we needed. Dog friendly, plenty of off-road parking, and a continental breakfast included.

The plumbing was noisy when other guests were using their showers.

Lift available. Seaview. Good breakfast selection.

Some of fittings were a bit dated/rough around the edges.

The friendly staff and good location, as well as free parking.

The hotel could do with a little modernising and TLC.

Staff were helpful and reassuring when parking my motorbike and helping to secure it in a safe, well lit area of the carpark.

The room was nice but the mattress was like laying on slabs.
