"Very good value - would book again."

I have used the Clarendon several times for an overnight stay to break the journey between Scotland and further South in England and it meets my needs perfectly. Excellent value, ideal facilities, good location and I hope to be able to visit again in similar fashion or possibly for a longer stay if the opportunity arises.

All good, no criticisms whatsoever.

"Can't fault a thing."

10.0

We had a twin with a king-size bed and a large single bed. The room was a lovely size. The bedding was spotless, as was the whole room. There was a desk with a kettle and coffee/tea, etc, and draws holding a hair dryer. The room also had two chairs and a full-length mirror, plus a mirror over the desk. A flat screen TV was on the wall, and a wardrobe was in the lobby area as you first entered the room. The bathroom was fully tiled and spotless with a bath and a shower over, and we had a plentiful supply of hot water. There was soap provided and a good selection of thick white towels. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was quiet. We enjoyed a very peaceful night's sleep. There were fans provided in the room and bedside lamps beside both beds. It was a very warm night, so the fans came in very useful. I travel with my assistance dog and stay in many different places, but I prefer to find places that allow dogs wherever I can. The Clarendon Hotel is dog friendly and allows dogs to stay, which is a bonus. Breakfast consists of either free continental, or you also have the option of paying extra and also having a full cooked English breakfast for £5.95. We opted for this and found the breakfast to be absolutely superb. They also cook a sausage for the dog! Our dog loved his cooked breakfast 😋 The staff are all very kind and friendly. They definitely go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who has a well-behaved dog, as there are so many other dog friendly places in the vicinity, from dog friendly restaurants to dog friendly cafes and the dog friendly Festival Market, along with so much more to do. I would 100% stay here again and definitely recommend it as a place to stay.

The car park is small for the size of the hotel, so at busier times it may be difficult to park on the hotel car park.
