Riad Chez Henriette

The riad is very well located if you intend to do everything on foot. It was clean, the facilities were good. The staff is friendly and attentive and always ready to help out planning your day.

If you need to use a taxi, the access by car is not that easy meaning you will always end up paying a little extra. Better to walk if possible and grab a taxi somewhere else. This was not a big problem for us as we mainly walked but worth considering if you have mobility problems. The way to the riad is a bit shady at night as it's not well lit but we had no troubles. During our stay, there were electricity problems outside of the riad's control (external source) that meant the electricity was going out every 5 minutes and with it, the WiFi and AC (which beeps loudly each time the electricity comes back). We believe there were ways to mitigate this (battery powered light sources, power outage prevention plugs for the WiFi router) but not much was done even though the situation stretched for at least 3 days. Even though it was not the riad's fault entirely, it still affected the quality of our rest and thus our ability to enjoy our stay to the fullest. If you get loud insensitive guests staying at the same time as you (as we did), it's going to be occasionally loud inside your room as well, especially if you are staying on the bottom floor next to the breakfast areas. I recommend taking earplugs. Also having warnings about keeping it low while inside the riad should help.

The staff was amazing. Abdel was such a great host, we were able to ask questions and felt so comfortable we decided to stay in the same place on our way back. I would definitely stay again when I come back

Everything was to standard

We had such a great time here! Our room was cleaned thoroughly every day, and the breakfast was delicious. Also, the staff was absolutely lovely. We want to give a big thank you to Moussa, Abdel, and the housekeeper (sorry, we forgot her name). It was so nice chatting with you all and you were always there for us. We truly felt at home 🤗

Honestly, we enjoyed everything. If we had to mention one small downside, it would be the pillow: it was a bit too high and firm for our taste.

We had the best stay at Chez Henriette! The team were incredibly friendly and beyond helpful. It was a beautiful riad in the heart of Marrakesh, perfect distance from so many places. Breakfast was fabulous and the place was really clean, with great showers. The rooftop was a sun trap and a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the souks. We recommend highly! Thank you for making our time in Marrakesh.

The property is nice and well maintained. It is very clean. The interior is done very good as well. Moussa was very helpful and made sure we are well looked after. Definitely recommend this place for Diar experience. Thanks to Moussa for looking after us well.

We had a great experience in this Riad. Everything was super starting from location to offered services. It's very quiet but at the same time really close to the buzzing central square. A typical Moroccan breakfast was served every morning and we could enjoy a cup of tea upon our arrival. But the real stars of our stay were Moussa and Abdel who made our stay truly unforgettable. They were so friendly and kind to us that it made us feel at home. We will never forget their kindness and hospitality!

Sound isolation at the riad is a bit poor but this was no problem for us.

Staying at Riad Chez Henriette was a truly wonderful experience, made even more special thanks to the incredible kindness and availability of Moussa and Abdel. From the very first moment, they made us feel completely at ease — we arrived late at night around 11 PM, and despite the hour, they welcomed us with water, food, and warm milk. Throughout our stay, they guided us around the city, offering tips and recommendations on what to do, what to avoid, and how to move and behave within the Medina. When they found out we wanted to get henna, they recommended someone they trusted and even arranged for her to come directly to the riad. One morning, we had to leave very early, and they kindly brought breakfast to our room at 7 AM — an hour and a half before the usual breakfast time. They also moved us to an even more beautiful room as soon as it became available. I could give a thousand more examples of their kindness. This is a highly recommended experience for anyone who wants to experience Morocco in the most authentic, home-like way. The riad is also in a super central and convenient location, and they offer transfer services for getting around. The cherry on top: on our last day, Moussa and Abdel invited us to have a truly local experience by joining Abdel’s family for lunch at their home — an unforgettable moment that we will always carry in our hearts.
