Island House Historic Vacation Rentals

I love the old style of the hotel. The lobby is beautiful. We had a room with a separate bedroom and living room, each with their own tv. There is a microwave and a refrigerator in the room. The location is great - a short walk to the ferry (saves parking fees) & near many good restaurants/bars downtown. There is no check person on site - you pick up a check-in packet a couple blocks from the hotel. This wasn't a problem as we stopped on the way to the hotel. The process is simple and quicker than waiting in line and checking in with a person.

Like many old hotels, the bathrooms are small, but it would help to have a shelf above the pedestal sink to set personal items.

Super comfortable beds! Best sleep I've had in a hotel in years. Kitchen was pretty well appointed.

Booked a king suite but got a regular room

Had to go a block away to get room keys no staff at building

Clean room

Walls were to thin, could hear the next door renter snoring. No cold water in both the bathroom sink and shower. Right next to a bar that had loud music. No staff onsite.
