Lots of small things needed attention example doors not shutting properly, toilet roll holder loose, room door difficult to open properly and bath/shower always running water and tap broken

A bit tired in places. Our bedroom did not have a window just one in the en-suite. Drinks were expensive. No hand soap in the en-suite. No toiletries and yet supplied bathrobes and slippers!

Paying £350 for 2 nights in whats descried as a deluxe room you expect certain standards. Its been a fab room 10 years ago. Fire door going into the room opens halfway then jams on carpet, wouldn't pass fire regs. Toilet door doesn't shut, toilet roll holder falling off, windows don't work properly, no blinds on toilet window, ripped paper on walls behind bedside cabinet and bath, bath had a very messy repair, dripping shower, faulty plug in bath, no toiletries apart from a cheap handwash 99p. Remembering this is a deluxe room in whats supposed to be a luxury boutique hotel to not even have shower gel is a bit of a stretch. Heat in room appalling as hot water cylinder in the room cupboard and the noise from it woke me both nights frequently. I have never written a bad review about a hotel but i feel i have been overcharged for a room that i could have had the same experience down the hill at a cheaper hotel and received basic toiletries at least.
GBQuite possibly one of my most favourite hotels and location. I honestly couldn't fault it. Its set up a small hill so the views were stunning. The room was amazing, clean and comfortable. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely. Ian also went that extra mile for us which was hugely appreciated. Highly recommend this hotel.
