The McNeil Mansions

I was attending an event at the PA Farm Show Center and the location was extremely convenient. The property was well appointed and equipped. The air conditioning was welcome on this sweltering week. The host was welcoming and helpful. He even texted me after I left that the right brake light on my car was out. There were fireflys in the field and across the street.

It wasn't clear from the listing that this is a basement apartment with no outside windows or light. It also wasn't clear that access was through stairs under a deck with clearance of only about 5 feet so getting in meant scrunching down really low. It was OK for me but if my wife had been along she couldn't have passed through the portal. The refrigerator was set so cold that all the bottles of water were frozen solid.

I enjoyed my overall stay and look forward to booking again! Extremely quiet, clean and very peaceful. Thanks for all your accommodations.

I didn’t have enough time to stay longer.

Very private, quiet basement apartment. The living space was adequate and comfortable. There is a small fridge with freezer, microwave and air fryer that is adequate enough for a short term stay. The bed was very comfortable and cozy! Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the McNeill Mansions.

Parking across the street off property might discourage other travelers, wish they had necessities such as salt/pepper, sometimes it can be a little loud from upstairs occupants -- again, it's a basement apartment. So if you want complete silence, this might not be the place for you.

Wife needed sleeping plas while I was in hospital

The location was close to our destination.

There were no windows, no air conditioning, no air flow, dusty, and bathroom wasn’t totally clean (hair in sink and around toilet bowl). Parking was offsite across the street (not correctly stated in the description).

The property was clean and was well secured. The property was located in a quiet area.

There is no air conditioning for the downstairs apartment.

Cleanliness and neighborhood

I did not like the fact that it was in basement or that you had to duck to get in and out the house. I felt like I was a teenager sneaking outta my moms house lol
