the bed was comfy and the riverside location was pretty

unfortunately the hotel has been refurbished in a way that had no charm or character, and felt on a par with a basic business hotel - they could have made much more of it, especially with its lovely setting. The fake grass on the terrace was particularly poor. It was priced as if a boutique country inn but styled like a premier inn. I didn't try the food, as I opted to find somewhere with more character to eat - but that said it did seem quite busy (i was there on a saturday night) - so I guess it must have appeal, just not for me sorry

Fabulous! Great views of the river. Cozy rooms. Lovely dinner venue downstairs. We enjoyed our stay here very much and are booking it for several more trips.

Beautiful location overlooking the river. Lovely evening meal with a good choice. Very comfortable room and generous breakfast.

Lovely place to stay, breakfast was extra £10pp. I had a cooked breakfast which was good but not a lot for my wife Perhaps a bit more choice with pastries etc

The rooms were very modern and clean. Beds were comfortable. Good choice of breakfast. Nice location by the river.

I thought the breakfast was too expensive. It's OK if you are having a full breakfast, but I only had poached eggs on toast; so I thought £13.50 was a tad expensive. I also wasn't too impressed by the restaurant in the evening. I thought the portions were quite small especially for a man. My chicken Kiev was over cooked and had practically no garlic. We also had olives with feta, but again hardly any olives.
