Bee Cottage Negombo

This cottage was probably the best accommodations we booked for our Sri Lanka trip, mainly due to the attentiveness and just genuine caring nature of the hosts. My Wife had her birthday while we were here (not planned as we were due to be home before this but the war in the middle east happened) and the hosts helped me plan and execute a surprise decoration of the cottage and a cake which I will be eternally grateful for. The cottage itself has absolutely everything you would ever need for a stay. I could not recommend this place enough.

Die Wohnung ist groß und der Außenbereich sehr schön angelegt mit privatem Pool. Die Kinder haben den flachen Bereich im Pool geliebt. Ansonsten ist auch alles da. Wir haben direkt Spielzeug bekommen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Hilfsbereitschaft und Herzlichkeit der Gastgeber und dass an allen Türen und Fenstern Fliegenschutzgitter sind.

Es waren Ameisen im Wohnzimmer, was sich denke ich durch die nicht ganz dichten Türen und Fenster nicht vermeiden lässt, da es inSri Lanka generell sehr viele Insekten gibt.

Anton and Pushpika, I can't thank you enough for letting us use your cottage as our own. With a 5yo, we always are concerned about places to visit but your place was awesome for every one, especially my kid and my wife (they didn't want to leave). I have already become an advocate for your cottage and your support as hosts. Hoping to see you soon... For those, who are planning to stay around Negombo, please just book this cottage and dump all your concerns over the hosts' shoulders. They will happily take care of everything, be it a kitchen utensil or car rental. Just try to be respectful towards the hosts because they deserve it.

The pool should have hand rails dor extra safety

Bee Cottage is a peaceful little oasis in Negombo. The cottage is spotless, spacious, and set in a beautiful garden with a lovely pool. The host is warm and welcoming, making the stay feel truly special. Perfect location and excellent hospitality — highly recommended!

Heerlijk ruim huis met eigen zwembad. Prima locatie, vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaren. De gastvrouw maakte een heerlijk Sri Lankaans ontbijt voor ons.

Bee Cottage is located in a quiet residential street. The house is a spacious 2 bedroom property, very private with a lovely courtyard garden and a small pool. There are bicycles for guests to use, which was fun and convenient. The fresh traditional breakfasts each morning were lovely. The owners of Bee Cottage are so friendly and kind. When I became unwell, they looked after me as if i was one of the family. I'm truly thankful for their care. We part as friends.

I highly recommend this accommodation! Clean spacious apartment. Lovely garden with swimming pool. The hostess ❤️ is a lovely, warm and kind person. She was always ready to help if we needed help. We were able to check in a day before the agreed check-in time at short notice and we are very grateful for that. If I return to Negombo I will definitely choose Bee Cottage.

A perfect stay at a lovely accommodation. Even though it was a Sri Lankan national holiday, the extraordinary hosts were more than prepared for our arrival. They thought of everything important: insect repellent spray / incense, coffee, tea, stove, fridge, washing machine, guest security monitor, infant high chair, comfy outdoor furniture, children's books, etc. They didn't miss a beat. It is quite obvious the hosts put a lot of thought, care, and work into developing the property. One could see their care and expert craftsmanship on display in the outdoor shower, flooring, gardens, exterior decking, and ultra clean pool. On the morning of our departure, they offered us fresh fruit and a ride to the airport. After chatting with one of the hosts on the way to the airport, we remarked to each other how we wish we had more time to get to know them better. Hopefully, we will be able to stay again when we return to Sri Lanka. Thank you both very much for a comfortable, wonderful stay.
