The accommodation is in a quaint little town and has some wonderful day trips nearby.

The tea provided was not very nice. Lots of stairs up to the room. A little outdated but still did the job.

My room was awful, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, the bathroom door which was a sliding one had no handle on the outside just a screw, health & safety issue right there! The room was dirty, smell of urine from the bathroom, the fan didnt work. there was no care for the rooms to be in the least appealing, very grubby overall. My friends room had a good bed in however but other than that the place needs gutting, cleaning thoroughly from top to bottom. I get it that the cost was low but that still doesnt mean that standards such as health and safety shouldnt be met. We left our stay a night early after a very sleepless night! **Further to the response from the owner, I did not expect the Ritz just a clean room, a handle on the sliding bathroom door not screw, a fan in the room that worked & maybe a comfortable bed, I will always give an honest review, if it was good I will say so. & likewise if its poor. I know these are rooms above a pub and that wasnt in anyway an issue, the low standards were. Your response says it all really with a lack of ownership of the issues which are in the room instead you just blame it on "our type" very unprofessional! Whilst staying i also heard a fellow traveller complaining to the staff about a toilet that wouldnt flush in his room! My review was & is a completely honest one, in hindsight I wish id taken photos but that was the last thing on my mind after a very sleepless night due to the bed! Instead I cut short my long weekend away & drove home!

It’s so close to being amazing. For the price, it’s good but just a little attention to detail needed. I was travelling with my 11 year old son but no extra bedding was prepared - and there was none in the room. The TV didn’t work and one of the sofas was awful to sit on - it sank in the middle. I feel that with a couple of little adjustments and a bit more care, this would be an exceptional place to stay.

We were on top floor so didn’t hear anything from the pub downstairs which was great

The room was very spacious and clean with lovely apex windows in the ceiling above the masterbed, other bedroom and bathroom. The views were beautiful. A very comfortable room that I did not want to leave.

The bathroom needs a bit of attention.
