Esk House Apartment

Best place to stay in Montrose. The apartment is lovely and so close to everything. Spacious, clean and quiet. Free parking outside. Our second time staying, we won't stay anywhere else in Montrose now.

The apartment is lovely, very quirky laid out. Martin the host is very good re communications. Great location. We had a great stay. However, unfortunately I have arthritis so the kitchen being on the ground and living room upstairs was a bit of a problem for me. Still had a good time though. May I suggest that something is put onto booking.com. to let others know about the layout so they are aware of this. Due to this I wouldn't book again but that takes nothing away from the property, it's just a preference for me.

The apartment was very clean and well equipped. It was quirky and well furnished. Comfortable beds and a lovely dining space and sitting room.

The stairs were narrow and curved, however that was not too big a problem.

The property was very spacious and in a good location. Free parking was available directly outside of the property. Despite it being 2 degrees outside, the bedrooms and lounge were very warm.

Although it wasn't an issue for us, there is a small half spiral staircase to navigate which may be unsuitable for some people.

A comfortable, well-appointed and very spacious appartment with welcoming hosts. We would go back, if visiting the area again.

The location was excellent. Warm welcome on arrival. Appreciated the tutorial on how to work the TV as I don't have one. Was able to watch the rugby. Well equipped kitchen although we didn't really cook. Nice biscuits. Nice and warm. Plenty of hot water. Spotlessly clean. Loved that it was pet-free, although think the owner has dogs as I saw some in the garden. They were not anywhere near the apt though and they weren't barking. Very spacious and it wouldn't have been crowded with another couple there.

Not keen on scented fabric softener and the bedlinen smelt strongly of it. The blind afforded privacy but didn't keep the light out.
