The Sanduk Homestay

Probably the best homestay experience I’ve ever had. The owner Ibra is an exceptional host, he is so kind and helpful, he really went above and beyond to help us make the most of our stay. The place is far out but that was no problem at all is Ibra organised free transportation to and from Rantepao in the evenings. Would highly recommend this place! :)

Der Besitzer war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich, grosses Zimmer, gut ausgestattet, relativ sauber.

Sehr laute Umgebung in der Nacht, der Besitzer gibt dafür Ohrpropfen

Wir waren hier 3 Nächte und hatten eine super Zeit! Wir sind früh morgens mit dem Nachtbus angekommen und durften sogar schon ins Zimmer, weil das schon frei war. Ibra ist ein sehr toller Gastgeber und hat uns viel bei der Planung geholfen. Eine absolute Empfehlung, dieses Homestay zu buchen :)

Un séjour très agréable ! De l’accueil chaleureux d’Ibra dans sa homestay, en passant par la prise en charge de sa sœur Isabel pour l’arrivée et le départ en bus, tout était parfait ! Ibra aime ses invités et en prend soin ! Il donne beaucoup d’informations et de conseils, et a organisé pour nous la journée guidée dans les traditions Toraja en plus d’organiser notre bus de départ. Toujours pleins de bonnes intentions, jusqu’à nous préparer de quoi manger pendant notre long trajet en bus. Un hôte comme il en faudrait partout ! Ibra, merci pour TOUT !

The room are clean and spatious. The bed is comfortable. Ibra, the owner is really kind! I rented scooter here and they were in good condition, no problems.

It may be a bit remote from the city which has its pro and cons. Keep in mind that you will need to drive there every night if you want to eat in town

Ibra was an exceptional host, showing unmatched dedication, care, and kindness throughout our stay. Although our booking officially started in the afternoon, he came to pick us up from the early morning bus and let us check in immediately so we could rest a few hours before our hike. He even served us a complimentary breakfast that morning. He helped us with absolutely everything. When our group wanted to go into town for dinner, he personally drove us there — again, free of charge. Such a genuine, warm, and down-to-earth person who truly goes above and beyond for his guests. Hats off to him! On the day of our checkout, he even prepared a fresh fruit package for us to take on our long journey. I can wholeheartedly recommend staying here — it was a perfect experience in every way.

Emplacement parfait. A côté du site de Kete Kesu et à 5mn de Rantepao. La gentillesse du propriétaire et sa disponibilité nous ont bien aidés: visites, scooter, livraison de repas et même le transfert offert pour aller à l’arrêt du bus de Makassar.
