The serene location in Nuwara Eliya provided a tranquil retreat, complemented by the cozy and welcoming atmosphere of the property. The **Deluxe Double Room** was impeccably clean and tastefully furnished, with beautiful hardwood floors and a view of the lush garden, making it the perfect setting to unwind. The inclusion of **breakfast** was a lovely touch, and the meals were delicious, showcasing local flavors while providing a variety of options. The thoughtful amenities, such as the wake-up service, wardrobe, and dining area, added to the comfort and convenience of the stay. One of the highlights of the experience was the attentive staff. I had requested a heater due to the chilly weather, and they were prompt and accommodating, ensuring I had everything I needed to stay warm. Their helpful and friendly demeanor made the stay even more enjoyable. While the property is slightly off the beaten path, it adds to the charm of the place. A bit of extra signage or detailed directions could make the approach smoother, but the staff was incredibly supportive in guiding us to the location. Overall, The Barnsbury House offers an excellent blend of comfort, hospitality, and value for money. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya and would happily stay here again. A perfect getaway for relaxation!

While my stay was comfortable, I did face **internet issues initially**, though they were resolved promptly by the attentive staff, which I appreciated. The property has been recently renovated to provide a more luxurious experience, which many guests might enjoy. However, I found myself missing the charming **cozy cabin vibe** it once had. The new look, while modern and upscale, lacked some of the warmth and character that gave the place its unique appeal. Overall, it’s a great option for those seeking luxury, but for guests who cherish rustic aesthetics, this change might feel like a bit of a loss.

The environment is really good. The hotel was located almost in the heart of Nuwara eliya, very close to the lake. The house is very clean. They have prepared a delicious breakfast. The owner and the staff were quite friendly people.

The shower was little but malfunctioning. I wish there was a balcony to the room to observe the view. You have to go out of the room to observe the view as in the pictures of the room.

Breakfast is good.

There was a little problem with the hot water in the bathroom.

peaceful, good location, great cook and helper, wonderful service. the tea and coffee with fresh milk was yummy, food was tasty. double and triple rooms was comfortable size. would be nice if you have a EV charging option, which i noted to the manager, which will make a EV user more comfortable to stay here.

room hot water was a disappointment , was temperamental, suddenly going cold ...complained to the manager. the breakfast options and what is given should be more clearly informed, as more easier to decide.

Should have a kettle and some side beds for the money they charge.

Close location to the Gregory lake.

Rooms weren't sound proof. Hot water facility wasn't satisfied. Didn't had a private balcony to the room.
