Lehani Beach Hostel

Amazing and very helpful staff, helped me with everything, even finding a reliable car mechanic. Waking up with the view of the sea and just a few minutes walk to the centre of Tofo, both via the beach and via the road. Reliable wifi for remote working.

A bizarre experience. You pay for a hostel room with air conditioning, but they demand extra payment to turn on the air conditioner! Very strange and an exploitation of the guest. My travel partner asked to turn on the air conditioner, was asked to pay extra, and after a discussion he realized he had no choice and paid. For at least three nights, they turned off his air conditioner in the middle of the night and caused him to wake up at 4 a.m.!!! Without explanation, without speaking to him — they simply turned off the air conditioner. As a guest who is sensitive to temperature changes, this was especially important to him and was also the reason he chose a room with air conditioning. After contacting the hotel staff, who of course do not speak English, it was suddenly explained to him that the air conditioner payment is per night — meaning that during the day he does not have air conditioning and they turn it off unless an additional payment is made, amounting to 12% of the room price. After my friend spoke with the staff, a big argument broke out in which I was not present. The next day, in the middle of the day and without any prior warning, I received a message that the person in charge of the place literally expelled us from the hostel, in the rudest way possible. And on top of that… after they exploited us over the air conditioner and caused enormous discomfort to my friend, they complained that a small bottle of water that was consumed at the hostel, costing $2, had not been paid for. They expelled us, exploited us, woke my partner up at least three times at 4 a.m., and then complained about $2. Regarding the stay, we arrived at the hostel and there was almost no guidance or communication with the staff. The manager was hardly present. The employees do not speak English.

Amei o local, os funcionários super simpáticos e hospedeiros.. o local é fantastico, classico super chamativo, ideal para quem vai relaxar... Amei ver o nascer do sol, a localizacao em sim.. wow.. eu de certeza volto a este paraíso 🍷♥️

I loved everything, Lehani is not a hostel ,it such a beautiful lodge/Accommodation, Ria and James are such fantastic people, everyone is Tofo Beach is so friendly welcoming, the Accommodation is at the perfect location, with so much restaurants, bars and activities to do within walking distance. The beach is right on your doorstep and you can get a massage right on the beach. Lehani is breath taking, value for money and gave me such an amazing holiday. I am definitely going back.
