The Bittescombe Inn

A truly lovely pub with rooms. Very friendly hosts who ensured we had a very comfortable stay and ate well! The room was really nice….something a bit different and we really liked it. Dog friendly

There should maybe a door into the bathroom and something on the bathroom window for a bit of privacy! But it didn’t spoil our stay in any way

Mark and Lydie were excellent hosts. Staff were very friendly. We had an excellent meal on our first evening there. Breakfast each morning was excellent as Mark asked us what time we wanted it. Good selection of fruit etc; and then a full English each day although we just had scrambled eggs on toast on our last morning. Beds were extremely comfortable, so much so that our friend who also stayed there for a couple of nights said it was the first time in years that he had not woken up with neckache.

The inn and rooms were all really nicely presented and felt really comfortable throughout. The food was amazing (both evening meal and breakfast) would highly recommend the burger. The staff couldn’t be friendlier if they tried, they were extremely welcoming.

Bright, modern and spotlessly clean accommodation. Excellent food - breakfast, lunch, evening plus superb Sunday dinner. Staff and regulars all extremely friendly and helpful. We will be back!

Nothing not to like.

Mark and the team were fantastic – extremely welcoming and the perfect hosts for our night’s stay. Both the pub and our room (Pigeon) were beautifully furnished, creating a very comfortable and homely atmosphere. The rooms are finished to a high standard, and the shower was amazing! The food was also delicious – we couldn’t have asked for more.

There really wasn’t much to dislike. If I were to be very picky, our personal preference would be for a bathroom door from the bedroom rather than the more open-plan style — but this is just a minor detail.

Friendly staff, nicely decorated room, good breakfast, fresh orange juice was delicious. Pub area was nicely styled, lovely spacious garden, very dog friendly.

No door on the bathroom. Window looking into the shower from bedroom area rather odd ! Really needs option of a pull down blind or frosted glass. No instructions on how to use the coffee machine. Food that was served in the restaurant didn't match the pictures on the website, rather basic which was disappointing

L’accueil de Mark et de son équipe qui était exceptionnel ! Vrais moments d’échanges et de rencontre. Le lieu typique anglais type auberge pub familial , tout ce que l’on recherche quand on voyage et passer un moment authentique. La chambre a la décoration soignée et très confortable pour 4. (Des produits comestibles bio et locaux) La cuisine au top que ce soit pour le Dîner ou le petit déjeuner!
