The Bittescombe Inn

Marc and Linny were perfect hosts from the moment we arrived to when we were leaving. This is a very dog friendly pub - our black labrador was spoiled from start to finish. The pub is very cosy and the bedrooms are beautifully turned out. There was an excellent menu in the restaurant, and the draft beer in the bar was delicious.

As soon as we stepped through the door we had a lovely warm welcome, we met all the family who were all charming Food outstanding hubby says the best beef borginion ever!! Rooms amazing, can't speak highly enough, we will be back next year

The hosts were great. The decor in the whole place was fresh and high spec. The room was really lovely. The food on offer was superb. And the dogs were welcomed too, so what's not to like?!

The room was at the front of the building and there was a window next to the toilet with clear glass. There were gorgeous blinds but it meant peeing in the dark. I suggested window film or similar, and it was well received. Also, I'm reluctantly gluten intolerant. There was gf bread but the kind you'd get in a health food shop: extremely seeded, dark, 'damp' bread, possibly acceptable with a cheeseboard but definitely not an English breakfast. Again feedback on gf bread and crackers was well received.

A cosy and beautifully decorated country inn, delicious food and a friendly welcome from Mark and his team. We loved the atmosphere here and had a very peaceful and comfortable night's sleep. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, we can highly recommend!

That we only booked one night :-) We hope to return again for a longer stay!

Mark and Lydie (and Milo the dog) were amazing hosts. Had a wonderful 3 night stay at the The Bittescombe Inn, the room and pub are everything you could want, recently refurbished but without losing any of it's 'country pub' charm. We were made very welcome and joined the locals on Monday night for Venison courtesy of a local farmer, a lovely atmosphere full of fun and great food. The location of the inn is perfect for getting away and spending time on Exmoor, quiet walks and beautiful scenery, the perfect escape....Only about 30 minutes drive from the beautiful coast line of Minehead and Porlock (which also had some lovely pubs for lunch!).....Thank you Mark, we'll be back to visit again soon I hope :)

Be aware the location is quite remote, no taxi's or local shops within walking distance.
