The Fiddichside Inn

The Fiddichside Inn is an absolutely amazing place to stay. In the heart of Speyside, you can fall asleep to the sound of the gurgling of the Spey river. The space was well portioned, clean and all amenities listed were available. The biggest bonus is of course the bar that you have access to in the property and with a short walk into Craigellachie you have access to everything you need for a great stay. A very special thank you has to go to Gail, who was incredibly accomdating, letting us book breakfast and a whisky tasting at very late notice. She lead us through the whisky tasting of some great local whiskies and shared the history of Speyside whisky with us. She also absolutely saved our experience of the inn as on the first evening we were not made to feel welcome by the innkeeper on duty (Gail had the night off), which led to us spending time in town rather than at the inn. On the second night we were very happy to spend quality time at the Inn and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to visit Speyside.

As per the above, our welcome at the inn by the innkeeper on duty was very lackluster and did not leave us feeling welcome at the Inn. He gave us the impression of being very dismissive and unhelpful. Gail came in on her white horse the next night and saved the stay.

Location of this accomodation is great. In the same building at Fiddichside in. Which is a great local to go to, really friendly staff, great whisky at great prices. Very close to highlander, craigellachie and easy access to the walk all the way into Aberlour. We love it here and will definitely go back! The lounge, kitchen and rooms were all exactly what we like in a place.

Clean tidy and very comfortable

Communication with owner was fare above average, friendly and informative. Easy walking distance to Highlander Inn or Craigellachie Hotell for a meal. Wifi worked well and the setting of The Fiddichside Inn must be experienced to understand it. A perfect place to stay if you are in the area for hiking, salmon/trout fishing, photographing, distillery experiences, Scottish history and lots more. Surely a go back to place!

In an excellent location in the heart of the Speyside Region of Scotland, this cottage provides a welcoming stay beside the river Fiddich. You can listen to the birds in the morning as the river bubbles and gurgles over the rocks. It is a tranquil scene.

Everything was perfect. I have no complaints.
