"Cold, cold cold."

Although the house and location is lovely, unfortunately the experience was ruined by the total lack of any heating in the property. It was single digits outside and not much more inside.

"Lovely setting, perfect for families and handy to attractions."

8.0

The apartment is well equipped and comfortable. We visited in January and were plenty warm enough. The electric fire was easy to use and worked well. The kitchen was well stocked although a bit small - the half sized fridge only included a small freezer drawer. The setting was beautiful and it was very handy to the Speyside attractions.

We were disappointed to find out the bar was closed most of the days we were staying. Understandable that it isn’t open everyday in winter but Google showed that it was and we assumed it would be. There was no one to greet us when we arrived, the steps were slippery and dark and we didn’t have the lock box code. So it wasn’t ideal. We were hoping to have a tasting with Brian (although we didn’t book this ahead of time we received a message the week prior giving an option of a tasting with him) but found out after we arrived that he no longer worked there. The owner arranged a tasting with another barkeep Angus which was nice - but after we found Brian at Belvenie we discovered why a tasting with him was so sought after. So moral of the story. Don’t trust google. Check if the bar will be open during your stay. And if you want a tasting with Brian - go to Belvenie.

The staff were very welcoming and very accommodating. Due to adverse weather conditions, we had to book at the last minute . We were stressed from driving hours trying to get home. Everything was perfect on arrival, nice and cosy 😊 the people in the little pub on the side of the accommodation were lovely and we had little chats about the history of the property which was really nice .

Lovely little place. Very comfortable. Lots of towels if needed. Staff very friendly.

The shower and kitchen sink needed a good clean. Old food in fridge. Limited cooking utensils.

Cozy and charming rental! It had everything we could need. Such a beautiful river behind and huge bonus to have to pub attached. They were so welcoming and nice!
