Puerta Vieja Hostel

The option to include breakfast and dinner for an extra cost was a very nice option. We did not eat there every day but most and the food was decent. The location was great, two blocks away from the center. Staff was great. There is a bar on the property which is nice for those who like to indulge. Also, the property always had something going on, some for a small cost, others free. Things like, karoke, mezcal tasting, salsa dancing, hikes, and free coctails on certain days and times.

I didn't like that there was not any heat. I did not like that I originally booked a room with a jacuzzi bath tub and it did not work, nor did they try to fix it. At the end, I fought for a discount which was honored. I also went in knowing that part of the property was a hostel and the other a hotel. The desk is in the hostel area. It is very difficult to handle anything at the desk as it is always flooded with people.The hotel rooms are not very sound proof. You can hear the neighbors using the restroom.

There were bedbugs!! ☠️ (they apologized profusely and washed my clothes, but it really sucked and I would like to know this about a place - so here you go)

Puerta Vieja is such an amazing place and it might genuinely be one of the best hostel I’ve ever been to! All of the workers are amazing (especially Diana) and the food is amazing! I hope I can come back at some point. Thank you for everything :)

Excelente todo, muy rico el desayuno y la cena. El bar muy bonito, seguro y economico.

Que estuvo lloviendo en la ciudad pero eso ya no depende del hostal jejejeje, pero adentro puedes estar y hay areas de estancia y pantalla Tv tipo cine para entretenerse.

Hay mucho espacio para poder estar, aún si no has hecho el check-in o ya has hecho el checkout. Comida buena. Si quieres conocer gente, facilita bastante las connexiones con las actividades y comidas

Afuera a la zona común ponen la música muy alta y hace q alguna personas no les invite a estar allí. Si la pusiesen más baja, favorecería el diálogo entre ellos.
