Great stay, lovely family, very comfortable

Relaxing atmosphere. Host went out of his way to get us the dinner we wanted out of fresh seafood and was very helpful. Room was big and clean. Perfect for a couple!

For us it was fine, but its a bit of a walk from the main road.

We honestly loved our stay at Mirissa Jungle View. The family who runs the place is just so sweet and took such good care of us—we felt so welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was spacious, really clean, and super affordable, which made it perfect for us. One of our favorite things was sitting out on our little terrace, just soaking in the peaceful jungle vibes and listening to the sounds of nature. It felt like such a relaxing escape. It is a bit further out, but that wasn’t a problem at all. The owners had a scooter sorted for us in under 15 minutes, which made getting around super easy. They also cooked for us and greeted us with a delicious juice when we arrived—such a nice touch! We did mention that the ceiling fan was a bit noisy, and they went above and beyond by immediately getting a standing fan for us. That kind of kindness and effort doesn’t go unnoticed, and we were so grateful for it. If you’re looking for a quiet, budget-friendly spot in Mirissa with genuinely lovely hosts, we can’t recommend Mirissa Jungle View enough. It’s a great little family-run business, and they deserve the support!

Clean, spacious apartment with comfortable bed in quiet neighbourhood 🫶 highly reccomend

We were looking for a quiet stay with local flair, and this was the perfect choice. Indika and his family were incredibly friendly and accommodating hosts. He arranged a scooter, a whale-watching tour, and transport to Tangalle for us, all at very fair prices—much better than those in town. The room was spacious, with a super comfortable bed and a large mosquito net, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Both the room and bathroom were very clean. The cozy terrace, surrounded by banana and palm trees, was a wonderful spot to relax in the evening. The water pressure was good, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. The location is slightly off the main road but convenient, with several food spots nearby. Cargills supermarket is a 5-minute drive, Secret Beach is 15 minutes, and Mirissa Beach is just 5 minutes by scooter—or you can walk to many main spots. You can also enjoy breakfast and dinner cooked by the family, and the prices are very reasonable. Indika’s wife is an amazing cook—her curries were fantastic, and the breakfasts were both delicious and generous (her coconut-filled crepes are a must-try!). Highly recommended!

I just wanted to share a few friendly suggestions that might make future stays even more comfortable. The ceiling fan makes a bit of noise when set to the highest level (which is often needed due to the warm and humid weather), and it could be a bit more powerful. Adding a standing fan could be a great solution. Since the room is very spacious, a set of shelves or a chest of drawers would also be a helpful addition for storing clothes, cosmetics, and other belongings.

Very nice place, feels like home, the family is super nice and I would highly recommend eating there, the food is sooo good and tasty! Very clean and confortable. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for something different than a hotel and feel closer to Srilankian people.

One of the best accommodation I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka. I have stayed for 6 nights with the best part being walking distance to coconut tree hill and beach yet having peace and quiet time during the stay. The owner Prabath and his family are so hospitable and the food they provide is amazing. A must try. Everyday he checks on you to assist or provide information where it is needed. The WiFi is great too. Overall I had such a fantastic time at the stay and with the family that I will spend some time the next time I’m here. Stuti

We had a great stay here! Indika greeted us with a tasty papaya juice and made sure we had everything we needed. He arranged surfing lessons, a scooter and he gave us a ride to the bus stop. The room is spacious and clean, and there is a small garden where you can relax. The house is close to the main road, but far enough so that you never hear traffic. And all of this for a good price!

A nice villa room with a good service and friendly owners... Local food was provided and tea also... It is safe, clean and quite and near to coconut tree hills beach.

The owner was super helpful. He has cute kids and a clean comfortable stay. The food he gave was very good as well. The location is a bit inside the residential area. He came and picked us up from the bus stop in tuktuk and didnt even ask for money. But we were able to walk to the main locations in mirissa (coconut tree hill, turtle beach, parrot rock) He has a great chilling area within the stay with a hammock. I had a nice nap on the hammock. He also helped us with the whale safari and gave us better rates than what we found before.
