Hotel Eldia Madarao

Conveniently located only 5min walk from the main lift. Rooms were simple but beds were comfortable and western style. Hotel was clean. They had a restaurant serve but you had to precook when you booked the room.

The smoking area was right before the main entrance so you had to walk through the smokers to get into the hotel and it made the lobby smell like smoke too.

The staff was very polite and very helpful. He helped us pick up and sent us to the bus stop (10 mins walking, 3 mins driving). They have the cheapest board rental around the area and the have discounted lift tickets

Customer service was exceptional. The manager went way out of his way to to make our stay comfortable. I would recommend this hotel especially if you are on a budget. I am a Diamond and Titanium with major hotel chains. Although upgrades are needed, I would stay here again.

The smoking area is located in a bad area. Just a few minor upgrades would really help this hotel. Toilet is really loud.

Good location. As always in Japan, very friendly and helpful staff.

Extremely outdated and old hotel room. Very pricey for what it was. People smoke in the entry area so entire lobby smells of smoke. Seems to mostly cater to Japanese bus groups. Breakfast has a VERY local flavour. Stains everywhere on the carpet. Desperately needs a renovation.
