White Horses Anglesey

The kitchen, bathroom and downstairs toilet was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped with just about all we needed to make our meals, I think a frying pan and perhaps a sieve would be good additions but other than that, there is everything you need. Both bedrooms are nicely decorated and are a good size. The location of the property is fantastic for the forest, the stunning beach and cycle paths very close by. You can cycle from the property, through the forest then onto a nature reserve which has a lots different birds to see and then onto Lllangefni - all off road, the scenery is just stunning. At Llangefni there is an Aldi and a Lidl. The owner let us put our bikes in the shed which was great. I noticed on a previous review that someone said the hot water went cold. This too happened to us but after we contacted the owner and this was sorted out for us immediately so theres no problem there. The property had Netflix downstairs which is a also nice touch. The beds are comfy and a good large size. There is a hairdryer in a top drawer upstairs. The shower is very good and a nice treat after being out having fun all day! There is a quite well stocked Premier shop very close by which is great for essentials. There is a local pub but we didn't go in.

We didn't take dogs with us but don't get me wrong , I love dogs and have worked with dogs for the past 20 years, however I don't want to arrive at a property and have to to start cleaning the floors and carpets to remove the smells and traces of the previous dogs. The rug smelt so strong of smelly dogs that I had to roll it up only to find a huge pile of sand had been deposited from the previous dogs that had been lying on it. I had to clean this up myself. I really didn't like this. Im on holiday at the end of the day. If the hoover in the cupboard was more powerful I would have given the floors a good clean myself but it just didn't work properly as it had very little suction. The floors desperately needed mopping with a good cleaning detergent and after padding around in my white socks, they very quickly became black! This would have to be put right for me to stay again. Perhaps a toddler gate at the bottom of the stairs would stop dogs going upstairs to the bedrooms and ruining the nice carpets up there. I woke in the night to a strong doggy smell coming from the carpets, possibly made worse because it had been a hot day, not good i'm afraid. The owner does request that dogs don't go upstairs or go on the furniture but obviously it's hard to stop dogs from running up the stairs. I think a toddler gate would remedy this if people adhere to the rules. As I say, apart from the floors the rest of the property was clean. If a better hoover, a mop and bucket was provided I would have cleaned it myself, but really I shouldn't have to. The bedding and towels were clean and fresh smelling.

Excellent location,very clean and tidy. On a main road but you wouldn’t realise because it’s very quiet

White Horses location is perfect for exploring Anglesey, we managed to visit many of the local landmarks in a 3 day period. LLanddwyn Beach and Ynys Llanddwyn were definitely the highlight. Cottage is renovated to a high standard with lovely creative touches. The living spaces are great - loved the kitchen dining space, where we spent our mornings. Our host was very welcoming and helpful.

Nothing - all good! Can't even comment about the weather - we were very lucky, even wore sunscreen.

Another fantastic stay at our favourite cottage. Really comfortable, clean and welcoming. Lots of places to visit and things to do ! We would most definitely recommend staying at White Horses Cottage .

White Horses cottage is a fantastic place to stay. It ticks all the boxes. It is clean, comfortable and restored, decorated to a really high standard. Euriona was really welcoming and there was great communication . Such a wonderful place to spend time and relax. So good that we have already booked to go back.
