Pentre Riding Stables

Location was lovely, room was very clean and although the bathroom wasn't in the room you had your own key to the bathroom along the hall. Perfect location for scenic walks. Views from property are gorgeous. Riding stables so you can expect some noise, was fantastic watching the horses and the work going on in the fields.

Parking is a bit hit and miss.

We loved the situation

The two rooms were basic, which was fine as we were attending a wedding at the castle over the road. Rooms were not particularly clean- lots of spiders webs , very dusty skirting boards in our room and the shower cubicle was grubby. Very poor lighting in the bathroom and the extractor fan didn't work. My son's room was slightly better but still what he described as 'grubby" with spider webs. Friday night he had to have a cold shower ( hot water from a storage tank he thought) as no hot water...assumed water has run out . Saturday morning.. still no hot water in his room. ..or our bathroom sink. Owner said that she was aware that 3 rooms were without hot water and she was fixing... Got water at 11.00... On Saturday morning, very cheekily the owner asked if my son would mind moving down to share the room with my partner and myself as she wanted to use the room for a new booking she'd accepted for the night. Didn't accept this as what 25 year old wants to share a room with his mummy! Not particularly impressed..had nicer B&Bs that were cleaner and included breakfast..and we didn't have to wash up in the minute bathroom sink

Beautiful area, friendly place, I stayed with kids and the dog which can be tricky at times but it was perfect, we all loved it

The bed! Im taking this life hack home 😅 this was the best night's sleep I've had in 32 years. Came here for a wedding couldnt wait to leave just to get back into bed! I spent the whole wedding talking to people about my sleep 😅 apparently the castles beds weren't as good but yeah stay here you wont regret it! You're welcome!

Proximity to water falls and self check in

The beds where not good. Sheets where pretty gross and black mould in the bathroom. Also double booked us first night so had to be moved then some chap walked into our room randomly on the second night so my partner couldnt sleep the rest of the night
