Sukoon River Homestay

Best acommodation in Varanasi! It was new, clean, well decorated. The bed was large, comfortable, pillows also comfy. There is A/C and fan. The bathroom was also great, the water was warm immediately. The food was delicious. I recommend a thali. But what was the best about it was the hospitality, kindness and effort of Shubham and his family. You feel like home and they are there for you even during the night if it is necessary. Thank you so much! You made my trip very pleasant and I will not forget!

Shubham is a great host! Gentil, always ready to give us all the information we need about places to go and where to eat. We had a wonderful home made food, cooked by his mother, which I highly recommend. The terrace has the most beautiful view and there is a very special home temple as well.

We had a very nice stay here. The host is incredibly kind and helpful, always available and offering great recommendations for things to see and do in the area. The place was clean and well-maintained, and the location is perfect, right in the center of Varanasi, close to the ghats and main attractions.

The only downside is that you can't reach the property by car or rickshaw, which can be a bit challenging if you’re traveling with a lot of luggage. It's about a 10-minute walk from the nearest pickup/drop-off point. But that’s just how it is when staying this close to the river, it’s not specific to this place, but typical for the whole area

Shubham and his family were extremely welcoming. They gave us great tips about the city, we got to try some delicious food at their place, and had some lovely conversations. The facilities are excellent, the location is top-notch with a beautiful rooftop terrace, and everything was very clean. We highly recommend this place!

Staff is lovely and location is perfect to explore the old city and the ghats. The property has a nice terrace on the top floor where you can watch the sunrise. Room is clean and good value for money, with AC and a ceiling fan. The property offers a paid private sunrise boat ride on the Gange, perfect if you're looking for a peaceful beginning of the day and to avoid big crowds on the public boats. The host was also very kind in offering us tea and showing us the family temple.

The bedroom window was very small and hard to open.

Perfectly located close to the Ganges with a very beautiful rooftop where you have an amazing view over the whole city. The host family is incredible kind and caring and will help you with everything. They made super delicious pani puri for us. Highly recommended if you are looking for an authentic experience in Varanasi.
