Lychgate view cottage

Cottage beautiful and very clean. Beautiful kitchen and dining room with skylights. Beds so comfortable. Easy to find and central. Local shops handy and Frying Farmer Chippy lovely and right in village at walking distance. Right in front of a stunning church.

we had a very pleasant stay at this property. we thought it very well presented and good value, we very much liked the outdoor seating in well planted and well maintained garden, kitchen and bedrooms very good beds very comfortable, park outside cottage, steep stairs tho, and bathroom downstairs the only slight downside to a very good weekend away, would return and we do reccomend !!

Beautifully decorated and fully equipped and easy to use.

The second bedroom needed a darker curtain.

This beautiful cottage was even lovelier than the photos. Very clean and cosy. The beds were amazingly comfy with Otty mattresses and down duvets. Really thoughtful gift basket was left out to welcome us and it really put the cherry on top!

The logs provided for the fire were too big for the wood burner and we had some trouble trying to make them smaller without an axe. Perhaps a bit niche but just passing this feedback along in case it's useful to anyone - what would have made our stay absolutely perfect was a stair gate for the top of the stairs to stop young children falling down, just as there was no hall, only a landing that went straight down onto the stairs.

we all loved that it felt like home, and it gave us all independence. it was a brilliant place to just spend nights with mates and bond. we will definitely be going again x

Lovely clean comfy cottage and the welcome hamper on arrival was a nice touch.

On street parking wasn't ideal, only got outside the cottage once all week.

The cottage far exceeded our expectations, it was very well equipped and like home from home. The bedding and pillows were amazing and the view of the church across the road was lovely especially at night when it was lit up. The garden was secure for the dogs which is important for us and the location couldn’t have been better with miles of gorgeous beach at Mappleton and Fraisthorpe close by and Hornsea and Bridlington only a stones throw away. The hosts were excellent and nothing was to much trouble for them, the complimentary fresh items were much appreciated. We are already looking at dates when we can return.
