Stunning views, the best from any lodge we stayed in during our 3 week Namibia trip.

Value for money, this was the worst lodge we stayed in out of six. This lodge was recommended by friends who stayed here in mid 2024.....since then, the retreat feels like its falling apart. Things we had at other lodges, that weren't available here included: Welcome drink/towels Explanation of how things work, meal times, etc Fridge in rooms Proper aircon (the evap cooling system would battle at warmer times) WATER (there was no water in the room and we had to buy water from the dining area - which was locked when we arrived !) Meals were substandard - the beetroot capacio was beetroot out of a tin with a pickle on top The dinning room had the doors closed and was unbearable hot, discouraging eating inside.

Amazing remote lodge with beautiful view of the desert including watering hole where we saw oryx in the early morning from our room. Rooms all felt very private and fully equipped. We did a guided sundowner which was really beautiful and we had it all to ourselves! We saw ostriches, oryx, desert foxes. The guide was very knowledgeable. Food was plentiful and tasty!

One small remark is the mosquito net was on the small side so didn’t go fully over the bed, which would have been more comfortable. Otherwise nothing to improve!

Die Lage ist absolut schön. Allein die Anfahrt über die D707 lohnt sich. Der Sonnenuntergang von einem kleinen Berg aus direkt neben der Unterkunft ist wirklich traumhaft. Der Sternenhimmel nachts ist fantastisch. Die Betten sind bequem. Das Abendessen war lecker, aber nicht überragend. Frühstück war Standard.

Das Personal im Restaurant empfand ich als eher kühl - nicht unfreundlich, aber auch nicht wirklich gastfreundlich. Im Zelt befinden sich zwei Einzelbetten, aber nur ein Mückennetz, das nur für eines der beiden Betten reicht. Die Zelte haben ein Metalldach, auf denen sich abends und morgens (zum Glück nicht nachts) einige Tauben aufhalten, was ziemlich laut ist. Der Pool, der auf den Bildern abgebildet ist, ist ziemlich weit entfernt von den Zelten und wirkt auf den Bildern deutlich schöner als er tatsächlich ist.
