The Marlborough House

This was at minute stay on a busy Monday. The Marlborough House is easily reached with a frequent bus service down the West Derby Road. The Accommodation itself is basic but finished to a high standard. Each pair of en-suite living rooms has a shared kitchen, well equipped with cooking facilities and cupboard storage, again to a high standard.

It surprised me that the upgrade to traditional worker housing did not include double glazing and the West Derby Road is busy throughout the night and a key route for the emergency services. Some cups and glasses in the living room for use during the night would be a minor improvement.

For us location was great, near where we needed to be, with amenities around. Triple bunk for 1 night stay, for me and my two girls. Staff helpful and friendly when contacted. It’s was small and basic, but comfortable. My girls loved the tray with crisps and biscuits and the bottled water was very welcome.

Bed a bit creaky. Bathroom had a bit of a smell, but wouldn’t put us off staying if we were coming back to Liverpool for an event at Anfield.
