Manawari Beach Resort

The staff - they aim to please and they succeed. I give 5 stars to the staff for attentiveness and service levels. Always looking for ways to assist and make our stay comfortable. The rooms are simple but very tastefully appointed. The food at the restaurant was also very good - highly recommend the pizza.

They have a FOAM party on Saturday nights which starts with a band at 8 pm and ends at 3 AM!!!! You will not be able to sleep as the music is full blast and the windows are shaking- no exaggeration. No announcement on Booking.com that this is the case. If this is your vibe well and good. But we came here to relax. All other nights it is quiet. The beach is not very clean - not the fault of the resort and we did not swim due to the smell and the floating black foam and some green algae.

It was in a good setting. The layout and design of the property was very well done. Charming. The lady who manned the reception desk during the day was incredibly helpful and a credit to the resort.

On the Saturday night they held an event where the noise from the bass speakers was so loud it made the bed in my room vibrate. I did not get to sleep until it finished towards 1am and I had got up that day at 3.am to catch the flight to Davao so was incredibly worn out.

Beach is clean but not great for swimming, full of weeds, not a clear spot at all. Came in Sunday night, there was a birthday party, very loud speakers and karaoke didn't end until 4:15 am following day. They play music with high bass at the restaurant , very loudly audible from our room right around 7 am . Room is clean but mattress is bad. Food are all pretty much fried. We paid for 2 nights for close to 10000 pesos but ended up staying only for one as this place is not great for vacation we wanted where we can hear the waves and crickets and unwind on the beach and have a restful sleep.
