Ormeau Road Apartment

Location was very good. Great to have safe parking. Host directions and information were very clear and concise. Very easy to get keys and check in and out. My husband was doing the marathon and the property was an excellent location for watching and for getting back to after.

The apartment is very tired. The shower unit is hanging off in the bathroom, there is broken and raised bits of tiles/planks in the hallway and the divider in the kitchen has snapped and is a trip hazard, extremely dangerous if you have a child with you, which I did and my crawling baby was very interested ! The bed was uncomfortable and the sofa bed was uncomfortable and also very stained (there's a blanket over it). There's 3 frying pans and only one very tiny saucepan. Bathroom is fine it's new enough but if you're lifting toilet seat up or down the lid comes with it and can bang. I also asked for a crib, this was approved and none was provided. I could have contacted the host but fortunately had taken the travel cot from my mother's house as a precaution and just used that instead. When I was leaving I was doing a sweep of the area and found things (rubbish like water bottles) under the couch that wasn't from my stay which was disappointing in terms of how thorough the cleaning process is. Overall, the space looks amazing in the photos but is extremely tired in real life. Would benefit from new mattress, new sofa bed, upgrade to kitchen supplies (ie a saucepan someone might be able to cook with!) maybe some nice, new towels and fixes to the aforementioned things that were broken. I don't mind any of the things in isolation however the accomodation is not cheap and I expected more of it, particularly given the photos it looks beautiful and I'm sure it would be great if a bit more TLC and upgrades done.

The location was good as plenty of shops, take away, and 30 minutes walk into the city centre.

Location was good, 15/20 minute walk from the city centre or 5 mins in an uber which were quick and easy to book. Comfortable and clean, also nice and spacious.

No hairdryer so had to go and purchase one while there, we were only left 1 bath sheet and 1 bath towel and there were 2 of us for 3 nights. Although when we messaged the host they dropped them off later in the day for us. Also minor but there were no wine glasses (description said there would be) (prosecco from a tumbler is just not the same) but had these things been in place would have had a higher rating. There is a rod separating the kitchen and living room flooring which is slightly broken and caught out feet on more than once this needs looked at.

The location is good, easy access, it is in a quiet neighborhood, good for a few nights, clean bathroom, heating provided, modern interior

Stains on the bedding, random red spots on the pillows and on the floor, it felt like the shower would break when you step into it, a lot of dust in the radiator, overall cleanliness is questionable, slight smell of cigarette smoke

Photos of the property were extremely misleading. Courtyard view was a view over a carpark full of rubbish and broken utility boxes. Entrance hall was dingy and smelt. Front door handle broken. Inside looked nothing like the photos. Checked the bed, lumpy. Given outside and the broken door handle I did not feel safe and left to find other accommodation. Didn't report to the owners as read their response to other 1 star reviews and figured it was a waste of time. Would not recommend this property at all.

The key box was extremely difficult to locate. In the end we had to ask someone leaving in a car. A photo of the exit gate would have been useful. The property was shabby. The bedroom window didn’t lock / the handle wouldn’t close. The sofa bed, WHICH IS WHY WE BOOKED THAT APARTMENT had no sheets or covers. The main bed had only this duvet. The place was drab and definitely in my opinion very over priced

Key to get into main door of apartment block was the same key as opens the apartment door??! Bedding and towels poor. Dining table ready to fall apart. Property in need of some TLC. Crisps left out for us date expired in Sept 2024 and the milk December 2024. It is March 2025!
