Ormeau Road Apartment

Great location, easy to find with good instructions for entry and parking. The beds were comfy, it was warm and well equipped for what we needed for the night. Bonus for the cleaner who found my wallet outside and contacted me to return it!

The property is a little tired, with strong damp smell in the bathroom and strong smell of cannabis in the shared entry hallway.

The bathroom

Very confusing entry to flat. It was no. 22 whereas the street only went up to 20. We asked everyone we could find but no-one seemed to know where it was - even the postman!! We eventually found a building round the back at the end of the road but could not get a key. There were 3 lock boxes stuck on the side of the gatepost but there were no numbers on them. We had the code from Booking.com so we tried them all, but to no avail. By this time we were very cold and wet because it had started raining. I found a telephone number for the owner so gave them a call to find it was an answerphone. By this time I was getting upset as this had been a surprise for my husband- 2 days away and tickets for Les Miserables, which he really wanted to see. The owner called us and she was lovely saying that B.com should have sent us another code and supplied us with the correct code. Hooray we got in! Entering the hallway the skirting board was hanging off the wall. The flat itself was dingy and desperately needed decorating. The paintwork was filthy. The sofa Bed in the living room was broken at the back so it just leaned against the wall. In the bedroom, the curtains didn’t shut properly and there was dust everywhrre. In the kitchen, the upper shelves of the cupboards were dusty and there was a must smell. We were so disappointed but decided to make the most of it getting into bed that night was lots of pleasant experience. The bedding did not match. Everything was different. The pillows were so old there were lumps and the Duvet smelt. For the price we have paid we were very disappointed. We could’ve had a nice hotel for less than we paid for this. We went to see the show and then we came home because we didn’t want to stay there any longer. Don’t be fooled don’t stay here But the bathroom was nice.

Lovely apartment for a few days. everything was very stylish. lovely walk into Belfast which takes 20 minutes pub up the road was so friendly too

the bed was so uncomfortable and small. it's like a small double and it's on the side where the entrance to the other apartments are so constant noise off the door. the shower basin felt like it couldn't take any weight. it's right in a resendential area which was run down but wasn't too bad of street

Good buzz in the pub up the road, we were terrified though because of the UVF murals hehe In fairness to the host she was helpful out, we got lost looking for the place but sure god love us and especially me to be fair

Thought some fella was about to rip out his langer and take a slash on our table in the pub and I thought some fella was going to punch my teeth in for laughing, turns out he was sound though. We were just like a couple of 3 Oh Mandy's really

Felt secure. Quiet. Clean. Nice touches of washing powder, crisps, decor, comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Convenient.

TV wasn't tuned. Couldn't find way to get any heating during the first two cold nights of autumn.

It was cozy, they made sure it was comfortable for our family. We travelled from dublin and requested if we can check in early, although we did reach the property at 3pm as we had to settle the baby on the way to Belfast. Easier to find the property by opening it in booking.com page rather than entering the postcode . Demi was very good with instructions, property is behind the black gate with a ramp. Very secure parking I must say. Very good heating. They were very kind to leave some snacks. All the utensils and pots available plus powdered detergent for washing clothes and dishwashing liquid .I did wish we stayed long as we enjoyed our travel. I asked for late check out, again to settle the baby and they were okay. thanks a million guys!

We had a comfortable stay at the apartment. It had everything we needed for self-catering. The space was good value for money, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a big shower. There was also a nice pub just up the street (about 5 minutes walk away). Communication with the hosts was also very good. The dog-friendliness was also great (Ormeau Park just across the bridge!). The only warning I would give for dog owners is that the neighbor had 4 cats that were pretty fearless. If your dog doesn't like cats, be extra vigilant with the leash. 😆😆😆

The shower was great, but it could use a good scrub.

The house is cozy and well located. Good for a couple or small family. Within walking distance from the city centre.

It could have more kitchen cookware. A bigger cooking pot would come in handy.
