Villa Lavinia Nocelle

Beautiful well-maintained apartment with fantastic views of Positano and Praiano.

The drive up the mountain and the steps. We were told there were about 25 steps. However, there are 136 steps front the apartment to the bus stop, which is also the end of the road for cars. All 136 are UP STEPS. It is another 1/4 mile uphill walk to the private parking spot.

The property is a nice little house on a hill overlooking Positano and a fantastic view over the Amalfi coast. It has a large balcony (lower floor) which is a great place for breakfast or a relaxing drink in the evening. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were helpful and provided good communication but were not on site.

The check in process was a bit complicated as we had to meet the cleaning lady at a car park where we waited for half an hour and then we had to carry our luggage down several flights of steps and about a 5 min walk to the property as you can't approach the property with the car. We were travelling with several heavy bags and needed the help of the local porters who normally charge €10 per piece each way. The owners claimed that they normally have their own helpers and took over the porter cost. While the view from the property is fantastic it is a bit of a drag to get there and back from Positano, as it is a 5-10 minute walk to get to the car park and then a 15-20 minute drive on a narrow mountain road. Parking in Positano is €8-10 per hour! There is the option to use a small public bus which is often over-crowded and only runs once an hour with a "very flexible" timetable.

Villa Lavinia jest komfortowym miejscem, przestronnym i oferującym spektakularny widok na otwarte morze. Jej położenie jest wymarzone dla osób ceniących ciszę i spokój - Nocelle daje wytchnienie po zgiełku miast Wybrzeża. Obiekt dysponuje dwiema osobnymi sypialniami, z dwiema łazienkami, salonem, wyposażoną kuchnią, przestronnym tarasem, balkonem oraz pomieszczeniem do prania (przydaje się w czasie dłuższego pobytu). Dla osób poruszających się samochodem niewątpliwym atutem będzie prywatne miejsce parkingowe (jest oddalone o kilkaset metrów). Dla osób podróżujących transportem publicznym położenie obiektu również jest przyjazne - przystanek znajduje się nieopodal, a autobusy do Positano odjeżdżają co godzinę (tam można przesiąść się do autobusów kursujących po całym Wybrzeżu Amalfi). Trzeba jednak dodać, że do Villi prowadzi kilkadziesiąt schodów - dla osób mających trudności w poruszaniu się, może to być utrudnienie, a także sprawić kłopot przy wnoszeniu ciężkiego bagażu (za dodatkową opłatą można zamówić pomoc w jego wniesieniu). Na miejscu jest jeden sklepik (w którym można też zjeść śniadanie) oraz restauracja (aczkolwiek pod koniec września nie jest czynna codziennie). Nie sposób nie wspomnieć o świetnej obsłudze - od momentu przyjazdu, poprzez cały pobyt, aż do wyjazdu czuliśmy się zaopiekowani. Angela (która nas powitała i dbała o czystość) po prostu serdecznie nas przyjęła i wyczerpująco poinformowała o wszystkim, co powinniśmy wiedzieć o Nocelle. Villa Lavinia jest świetnym miejscem dla osób poszukujących ciszy i spokoju.

The home was perfect for two couples on a vacation. It was nice to be outside of the hubbub of downtown Positano, and it was tempting to spend whole days there enjoying the view.

Having to transit up and down the mountain everyday added time on each end of our daily excursions, so I hadn't properly considered that before booking (I probably still would have booked knowing that, but I was surprised when I first arrived). The town of Nocella does not have too many food options within walking distance, but it was very lovely and peaceful nonetheless.

The property was gorgeous and so well decorated and furnished. The view was amazing.

Mir hat der tolle Empfang des Vermittlers sehr gefallen. Er war wirklich hilfsbereit, erklärte uns alles und die Ankunft war einfach angenehm und unkompliziert. Die Aussicht ist grandios. Schon nach den ersten Stunden fühlte man sich wie zuhause.
