Livermead House Hotel

Location was great and staff are great

A bit dated and showing some signs of wear and tear

I love the location and period features of the building itself, the staff are polite and well-dressed, and the hotel has a very cosy atmosphere.

As much as I appreciate the period feel to the property, a lot of the furnishings in the hotel: especially in the rooms and en suites are tired, and a bit shabby looking. You can absolutely do period décor without getting the ‘worn-out’ look but unfortunately the Livermead House is yet to strike that balance.

Price under £70 is what u expect to pay for a night in ok, cosy hotel. Nice swiming pool, very friendly helpful staff, place with the soul.

Size of the room - small, somehow I did get the view on the back of the hotel where I had to watch bins and rubish.

The hotel was perfectly located for a function we were attending close by.

I liked everything about the property. It’s has a wonderful feel and the staff dress impeccably - a period hotel with a wonderful ballroom and the character that accompanies it. I’ve seen that there are what I would consider to be ‘mean’ reviews for the is hotel. Okay, I can nod to some of the comments, but it’s clean and charming with a location that means Torquay town and harbour is enough of a walk away that you feel ash though you’ve blown the cobwebs away when you get there.
