"Best guest house experience"

EVERYTHING This hôtel is the Best i have booked during my trip in Sri Lanka Everything is perfect and clean From staff to breakfast, room, I have almost canceled my reservation because they have no air conditioning, but actually it is a cold town and i needed a heater :) (stayed 8 to 9 august 2023) The Butlers and Salitha are so focused on guest satisfaction and so professional I went there with my wife and my two children, It was exceptionnal I recommend it for the Experience

"Very picturesque."

The location was beautiful. Because it was slow season. We had the entire cottage to ourselves. The staff built us a lovely fire. Yes, in August it was cold.  breakfast was in a different building, excellent. Very modern in contrast to a very traditional cottage. 

Charging plugs were totally inadequate.

"Great hospitality in the tea plantations a bit out of town"

Lovely staff, trying to fix a fire for us at it was pooring rain when we arrived. The Clovelly Bungalows belongs to a larger hotel complex, which was not opened yet when we stayed. The Bungalow offers 7 rooms and a beautiful living room area. During our stay our family occupied 2 rooms and we had the entire bungalow to ourselves. Quite mondane..For breakfast we were spoilt, again being the only guests we were treated to European and singhalese breakfast, all with a great misty view of the tea plantations.

Getting to a restaurant for dinner was a bit tricky, as there was no staff available to call a Tuk Tuk and we ended up walking a few km into town. This will surely become easier when the hotel has opened.
