Beautiful, we all slept so well!!! Wish we could of stayed longer

No toilet roll on arrival No baking trays for cooking Hob wasn’t working so couldn’t cook food we had brought Tv in bedroom wouldn’t work so had to use own mobile data to hotspot No dishwasher tablets available when said to use dishwasher on leaving in handbook. Left iPhone charger messaged host and no reply on getting this returned.

The views from the views are beautiful, an old church into one side and beautiful houses and greenery on the other side. The living room is lovely and comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, and the bathroom looks nice and well maintained. It made us feel at home.

It would have been nice to have some shower gel and shampoo and the house for the first night, most Airbnbs do. The windows barely open I understand it's for safety reasons but it was quite hot in Scarborough those days.

Only fault was cleanliness of underneath sofa's and shower. Needed a bit more attention!

The flat was located within about half a mile from local amenities, which was more than close enough for us. The area really came to life as a holiday resort in the Victorian era and it is full of traditional Victorian buildings, and it's a style of architecture we like. Access into the 1 bedroom fisrt floor flat was easy, with a key safe next to the front door. The code was sent via email after we had booked. Free parking is available. It is on street parking within a 'disc zone' (parking permit zone.) There are 2 day visitor cards in the flat, and you just need to scratch off the relevant year, month and 2 days that you want the permit to cover. Once done, leave it in the windscreen of your vehicle. It's a Victorian buiding which we liked. Overall, the accommodation was spacious, with original sash windows, cornicing and high skirting boards. Whilst the galley style kitchen was fairly compact, it had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable. We found plenty of storage space for cloths etc. The shower room facilities were adequate and we found the water pressure was pretty good. Whilst the flat wasn't 10/10 perfect, it was still excellent value for money at the price we paid for a Sunday and Monday night stay. We would love to stay again for a similar price.

Just a few niggles... that didn't bother us too much, but might upset others. Whilst the bed was comfortable, the pillows were flat and could be better. There were cobwebs in the cornicing and behind the TV. There was a large damp stain in a top corner of the living room area. There is a corresponding damp patch on the landing leading to the second floor. This should be addressed - if the water ingress has been dealt with, the patch needs to be properly covered/repainted, because it didn't look too good. WiFi was provided, but it was switched off on arrival. There was no information about the service provider, so it was a case of entering the password (which is located on the bottom of the router) and hoping you were entering it for the correct service provider that came up on the list. A brief, but detailed description in the arrivals book would have saved time. A small thing - The sealant in the shower room and kitchen didn't have a smooth finish. It didn't really bother us, but it could look neater. The TV wasn't that easy to sort out.
