Broadoaks Boutique Country House

Excellent room and as always, very friendly and helpful staff. Great ambience sitting by the fire on a cold day.

We have enjoyed exceptional meals at Broadoaks but this time the breakfasts weren’t up to the standard we’ve come to expect. It seems as though it was cooked by a different chef.

The room is clean, the environment is beautiful, and the breakfast is lovely.

The room we were allocated looks very different from the images shown on the Booking website. Besides, the hotel staff were generally not very welcoming. Upon arrival, a male staff member took nearly half a minute to acknowledge me, only to say that it was not yet check-in time. Later, when I raised concerns that the room did not match the photos shown online, the male staff member on duty that evening simply responded that it was impossible to upload pictures of every room, avoiding addressing the issue of potentially misleading advertising. With the exception of the breakfast staff, who were pleasant and attentive, most of the other staff came across as rather indifferent.

We payed extra for a spa bath which we couldn’t use as there was a leak in the plumbing. This also made us feel we couldn’t use the shower
