Broadoaks Boutique Country House

The property grounds are Beautiful and the hotel itself is stunning very old style inside. I wouldn’t say the room we were in was 5 star.

The room was really hot no air con. The central heating was left on all night. Our room was directly at the front of the property. All the staff go home and the building isn’t manned past a certain time. We saw the notice about this stating if you’re back after 11 you would have to use the side door. We were back at 10pm, the hotel was fully locked up we couldn’t get in. We weren’t advised on check in on this information or where we would need to go to get in later on. We were locked out for half an hour, eventually got in but the were constantly disrupted by other guests having the same problem. The constant knocking and door bell ringing was beneath us. We rang the out of hours number and they had no idea on how to get in. Feel like it was really unsafe and not ideal to have not one staff member manning the property overnight. Room facilities were basic , as stated it was really hot, bathroom was old.

We were given an upgraded room which was lovely. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the views were stunning. Would definitely recommend, wish we could have stayed longer.

I booked for my Mum and dad and unfortunately due to a medical Issue they couldn’t attend. The guys here couldn’t Of done anymore for them. They Amended the dates and also a room to suit my dad’s needs. They Had a fantastic time nice and relaxed just what was needed . Would highly recommended. So thank you 🤩

The location is amazing and the hotel is absolutely beautiful. The location is a short walk into Windermere and you can reach the lakeside really easily. Some great walks close by too as well as relatively easily accessible public transport if required. Car park on facility and breakfast was fantastic. Staff were lovely and friendly.

Food was very disappointing, we decided to have the evening meal at £62 a head and service was really bad along with the food! Kids waiting on and just didn’t have a clue! Breakfast food was ok but service was appalling!

I liked everything about the hotel. The room was stunning! Can’t wait to go back!
