Nozawaonsen Guest House Miyazawa

Lovely people, close to gondola and able to hire ski gear and buy lift tickets on site. So easy

Incredibly clean and well organized, the family who own and operate this lovely guest house ensure everything guests may need to make their stay more enjoyable, is available, and that guests comfort is a priority. The owner was especially helpful guiding and assisting us with shipping of baggage back to Narita airport, and dropping us to the departing bus station for onward transport. The location is at the top end of town. A good energetic 8 min walk down to the charming village, and very close to Nozawaonsen Distillery, great local restaurants and shops, then onsen bathhouse, and short walk up to the gondola station, so ideal base for skiing. Traditional Japanese rooms and bedding were comfortable and warm in winter.

All rooms and facilities worked very well for us. Some less open minded guests with may not cope with drop down ladders up to mezzanine floor beds or shared bathrooms, but we loved it! Immaculately clean throughout!

Very friendly staff and had everything we needed for skiing (rentals / lift tickets).

No parking but parking lot wasn’t that far away

The guest house was very family friendly and we enjoyed our stay there a lot. We slept great in our tatami room and the older kids loved sleeping on the small 2. floor tatami room. Breakfast was very good for the price, can only recommend.
