We have stayed many times at Mandela Rhodes place, in the tower and the apartments are really good. The location is good, security is good and the parking on site is easy and secure. The pool is good.

Our last stay here was pre-Covid when there were: 1. A proper well staffed reception with helfpful staff: this has gone, just security staff who know nothing about anything. 2. A concierge, who would book trips and taxis: also gone. 3. Two good restaurants: also gone, although one space looked like it was being refurbished possibly for future use. 4. A really nice African produce/gifts/clothes shop: gone. The consequence is that the building itself lacks its former atmosphere and the reception area feels dismal. The gripes with the apartment itself relate to check in and could be easily rectified: 1. Our key fob was not loaded for operating the car park, which the property managers Propr couldnt grasp, although it was resolved on site after a couple of days. 2. The safe was closed and consequently couldnt be reset and used, as I would have wished. 3. In the past I think apartments had dishwashers, which this one lacked: otherwise quite well equiped. If we hadn't known it for years when the hotel facilities were running, we would probably not have been disappointed and as an apartment block only I daresay it is the same as most.

poor communication and resolution regarding the spare set of keys and parking disc. these never arrived / handed to us in time. as a result i had to pay craze parking fees out of my own pocket. still waiting to be reimbursed.

It was very spacious and it felt like home away from home.

Just that if we needed help with something or to ask something there was never anyone around to assist.

Location Some of your security staff was pleasant.

Aircon not working , very cold, had to buy a blanket to stay warm Fridge not working ,so had to give away food Microwave didn't work . The company hosting me, took too long to find solutions. Still didn't resolve it. Cost me more money, to constantly give food away. Spent money on a new blanket.
