It’s a beautiful apartment nice and spacious

It was not clean, the carpets were dirty and the guy who went to clean up before we moved in didn’t even have cleaning materials- he used a pillow case to clean the dust.

Great location and the unit is just as advertised.

The elevator from the parking is old and it stinks, some days it works and other days it doesn’t. The electricity went off the first night of our stay, supposedly there was no enough unit in the meter, I had to load in some unit that night until I was able to get a hold of the management the next day before they now load enough unit…However I was reimbursed what I spent on time. Also the unit was not properly cleaned for check in as there was still some dirt around the corners.

Great location and flat. The kitchen is fully equipped and has quality appliances. The pool area is stunning and quiet a great refuge from the busy city. Companys garden right across the street and Bo Kaap within a short walk. Perfect location to explore the city bowl. Within the building is motherland coffee which is the perfect breakfast fix.

The check in was delayed by 20 minutes due to staff not being on site at the time of our scheduled arrival. The tags were for the incorrect flat and even when they exchanged it on the second day, they weren't working for the parking garage. The parking issue was very frustrating as it impacted our moving around and the staff was taking very long to sort it out even after multiple phone calls a day. We only got parking tags by the 3rd day of our 4 day stay. An area the accomodation can definitely improve on.

I honestly cannot say as I didnt get to stay there.

The arrangements the fact that we had nowhere to go when the booking was confirmed on bookings.com was dissapointing.

I like the apartment. It was super clean and neat. It is exactly the way it was on the internet and more. I Love everything about it.

I was not happy that I had to wait for the keys to arrive. I had a 5 month old baby with me and I did express this prior to arrival. But I had to wait 45 minutes at the foyer for keys to arrive. We didnt get breakfast. I dont know if breakfast was meant to be part of our package.

Self catering and I could eat whenever and wherever I wanted

This apartment is located in a very safe and central location which made travelling around the city very convenient. The apartment is fully equipped and it felt like a second home. It’s a stone’s throw away from The Red Bus office and a couple of stores and restaurants. There’s an amazing coffee shop downstairs. The bedrooms had fresh sheets and ample closet space.

The check-in process was frustrating. I had to wait for the “concierge” to arrive and give me the keys. I had to call the property owners several times as the “concierge” had not arrived at 15:00 and they were struggling to locate him. When he finally arrived well after 15:00, he handed me the keys and told me that he would send me more information about the property. I still have not received this information. I found the cleaning lady still cleaning the apartment. She took her sweet time taking pictures of items in the kitchen. My arrival did not hinder her. I found this very unprofessional as cleaning should have been completed by15:00. One of the bedrooms had a full bathroom but the bath plug didn’t work so we couldn’t use the bath. The second bedroom did not have bedside tables and the plug socket was very far from the bed. The kitchen had way too many chirped plates and cups. The complimentary shower cap and bath soap were placed on the kitchen counter. Very limited information about the property was provided on a handwritten note.

The location was fabulous--it was really close to everything.

There were two bedrooms. I took the small bedroom. It was fine for me with plenty of closet space, but not a lot of space if someone wants to spread out. The desk lights worked but my ceiling light never did. The management has been made aware and this should be fixed by the time the next guest arrives. Also, there was an issue getting the keys because I arrived later than anticipated so no one was there to meet me. In the past, when I've rented apartments at Mandela Rhodes I was able to get the keys from the front desk, so I wasn't aware this would be a concern. This was a different rental agency. You will need to give very clear advance info about your arrival time and any changes. Our key fob to the parking garage never worked, but we just explained the issue to the garage operator and it wasn't a problem.
