Riverside Lodge is very Cosy, and Comfortable...ideally situated for the Breathtaking Scenery in the Area, alot of Small to medium sized walks are available, the Autumn Colours 🍂 are Spectacular.... The Lodge is situated in a lovely area, very Quiet 🤫 and peaceful... Angela was very Helpful...... Thank you for a Great Stay....

The location is fabulous, especially the dark skies. Seeing a meteor fall and the milky way was amazing and the views from the lodge were breathtaking. The bed in the lodge was comfortable, that's important to me so appreciated that. The shower was lovely and certainly powerful enough and was the perfect temperature. Overall we were happy enough and had a pleasant 2 night stay.

If I could offer some constructive feedback.... getting a heater that works in the bathroom would be nice. It wasn't too cold, but it would put me off staying during the colder months. Also, there was only a tiny amount of toilet role which ran out the first evening. Luckily I'd read the reviews so took my own, don't really expect to do that when going away though. Also as others have said, the kettle needs replacing and a baking tray would be really handy. The Internet was a bit weird as I seemed powerful enough but no apps would work there, it couldn't load our Netflix and even the terrestrial TV was flaky at times, not sure why.

It had a good lounge area, with separate bedrooms.

The bedding seemed a bit poor quality. There were a lot of cobwebs The decking slope outside was slippy in wet conditions and resulted in a fall. Could definitely do with grip strips there.

The location is very quiet. Communication with the host/manager was easy enough via WhatsApp and they were immediately available to help or give advice when needed. An ideal spot for someone looking to be at one with nature and not too particular about luxury. It's more like a hunting lodge, which would really appeal to some customers, but for us it was just a place to sleep for one night of our road trip.

It was very cold when we arrived as the heating hadn't been turned on as they usually would have done for guests. The lodge is very rustic and not very clean inside. Cobwebs in all crevices and covering the walls in the bedrooms. Crumbs under the cushions of the sofa. Just not clean and fresh.

Could do with a new kettle, apart from that was a great stay
