Heritage Sunset Retreat Zanzibar

We stayed at Heritage with our four little kids for a week and had a fantastic time. The cottages are great for kids with the little pool and beach access. The staff were very welcoming and super responsive to all requests and questions - really excellent service from the whole team. We also enjoyed the flexibility of the additional services including for example the yummy breakfast or dinner options (but also the option to cook ourselves). A fantastic find and would really recommend for everyone looking for a quiet getaway on Zanzibar in this price range.

The cottages are a 15min drive from Nungwi but there are no shops or restaurants in the immediate vicinity - Heritage offers taxi services and excursions but their prices are on the upper end of the spectrum.

Everything was perfect, new villas, nice location, quit place. Very well and nice equipped . Staff very good. Definetely perfect place for stay!

I would reccomend for owners to have few motorbikes for rent to reach town and shops, cause a bit remote location .

The villa is really great and well equipped, also very clean! The pool is nice to relax and cool down in. The view is gorgeous from the terrace and living room.

Power cuts occur every now and then and it is not advisable to try and work there; this affects the Internet of course. The Internet in itself is not very efficient and one keeps getting cut off from it! Don't expect to swim in the sea outside the villa. No business in the area if you need anything, and the cost to go to Nungwi and back is expensive, $35. If you want to pay with TZS, the exchange rate is quite high. Be sure to bring cash with you as the private dining experience needs to be paid up front! We were, unfortunately, not very happy with the private chef experience! There is a lot of additional charges with everything.

Wir verbrachten als Familie traumhafte Weihnachten im Haus Safron . Omar und sein Team haben uns die Zeit zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis gemacht. Das Haus ist gut eingerichtet und der Pool einfach traumhaft. Das Haus und der Pool wurden regelmäßig gereinigt. Der Blick auf das Meer , egal ob bei Ebbe oder Flut ist einzigartig. Danke, dass ihr uns so herzlich empfangen habt. ❤️

The electricity going on and off but fortunately there was a generator

מקום מושלם. מתחם עם שש וילות נפרדות לחלוטין, כל אחת מול הים, עם בריכה פרטית משלה ופרטיות מושלמת. נקי ומצוחצח. צוות נהדר שמלטש בכל יום את הווילה (כמו במלון) ואת הבריכה הפרטית, ומחדש את מלאי הקפה, נייר הטואלט, אבקת הכביסה וכיו"ב. לא השתמשנו בשירותי השף הפרטי ולא הזמנו את ארוחת הבוקר שהוצעו, אלא בישלנו לעצמנו. החוף איננו חולי אלא סלעי, כלומר החוף עשוי ברובו מסלע ימי מוצק. זה אינו חוף חולי לבן, וכדי להגיע לחוף חולי לבן צריך לנסוע קצת דרומה או צפונה. אנחנו נסענו צפונה ל--Kendwa, אבל אז הבנו את היתרון העצום של חוף לא חולי: הוא לא עמוס תיירים ולא מוצף ברוכלים ו"נערי חוף" שלפעמים מטרידים יותר מדי. בחוף של מתחם הווילות יש כמה אנשי שבט המסאי שינסו למכור לכם קצת תכשיטים, אבל הם נחמדים מאוד וממש לא מציקים. מימין לווילות (טיפה מצפון) יש כפר דייגים קטן. כלומר: שקט, אותנטי, וממש רחוק מן ההמולה. כשרצינו למשל לשכור אופנוע ים, נסענו כאמור לחוף Kendwa. העיר הקרובה, Nungwi, נמצאת כ-15 דקות נסיעה צפונה. שם קנינו אוכל, כולל דגים טריים הישר מן הדייגים! אבל כדי לזכות בשקט נפלא, פשוט חזרנו לווילה הנהדרת. אי אפשר לסיים בלי לומר מלה על הצוות הנהדר, ובמיוחד על Eli, שדאג לכל מה שצריך. במתחם, כמו במקומות אחרים בזנזיבר, עובדים כמאבטחין צוות של אנשי צווות משבט המסאי. הם מזנקים לעזור בכל פעם שנכנסים או יוצאים מן המתחם, גם ב-4 בבוקר כשעזבנו לכיוון שדה התעופה. כאמור, צוות פשוט נפלא! אנחנו נותנים ציון 10 מושלם.

הדבר היחידי שמבחינתנו יכול לשדרג את המטבח זה תנור אפיה (יש כיריים ומיקרוגל). במתחם, כמו בכל האזור, יש הרבה הפסקות חשמל. רובן למשך דקות ספורות. זה האזור.
