Heritage Sunset Retreat Zanzibar

Omar and his team are absolute gems. They were so kind and so helpful with any of our request. The breakfast ($12 per pax) is the most delicious breakfast I ever had in a hotel. It was so much food we didn't need lunch. The villa decor is really nice and everything is well thought after. The view on the sea and the fishermen was like a painting. We loved our stay.

It is located in a very quiet area so if you're looking for a place with a lot of activities around, it's not for you. But they can arrange taxi to go anywhere around the island so we were not bothered about it

A beautiful, quiet, and peaceful place with a truly relaxing atmosphere. The service is exceptional, and the staff pay attention to every detail. Breakfast and all the food were excellent. It was an amazing experience, perfect for anyone looking for a calm, peaceful place to stay and disconnect from everything.

The only small thing to be aware of is that the villa is about 13-15 minutes by car from Nungwi or Kendwa, and there are no nearby restaurants or minimarkets. However, the villa provides absolutely everything you need. Their food is truly high-quality, you can order meals directly from them, and taxis are always available.

This is honestly the best accommodation we’ve ever stayed in, and we travel a lot. The welcome was incredible warm, kind, and truly heartfelt. The Massai team is amazing: extremely kind, caring, always there to help, and they wouldn’t even let us carry a single bag to our villa. We especially want to highlight Lazaro, with whom we really connected. Always smiling, respectful, and incredibly attentive, he made our stay even more special. We truly hope we can see him again on our next visit. A big thank you as well to Omar, who was perfect from start to finish. Really nice ,spacious ,well equipped,private pool,privacy,beachfront Staff are amazing,Calister (hope I’ve spelt that right ) was amazing,very helpful,nothing was too much for him We ordered dinner and breakfast by private chef and it was beautiful,and very reasonably priced Waking upto the beautiful Zanzibari turquoise ocean was my top favourite of this property Hoping I can go back again someday and enjoy it for more days

It’s not dislike but just a reminder that it’s little secluded,though very easy to get to Nungwi (the most happening place of Zanzibar 😀)

I loved how amazing and accommodating the staff were, they went above and beyond to make sure everything we needed was taken care of.

The only thing I didn’t love was that there wasn’t an on site restaurant, but food options were close by, and we could easily arrange for a chef prepared meal instead.
