Korstay Guesthouse Seoul Station

Die sehr gute Lage zu Bus und Bahn, man kam sehr schnell überall hin. Es gab in der unmittelbaren Umgebung auch genug Supermärkte, Cafe's und Restaurants.

Die wirklich schlechte Matratze, wir sind in der Mitte immer zusammengekugelt und man hat die Sprungfedern gespürt. Das Hostel roch recht muffig, ebenso die Handtücher, die man aber selbst jeden Tag tauschen konnte. Leider hatte man keinen Ansprechpartner im Hostel.

Il letto era molto duro e si sentivano le molle sotto. Per chi ha problemi alla schiena come me è risultato essere molto scomodo. La proprietaria ci ha gentilmente offerto una coperta aggiuntiva da mettere sopra il materasso come ulteriore supporto e devo dire che un po' ha aiutato. La camera è piccola e poco luminosa. Il bagno ok ma senza box doccia risulta sempre bagnato ma in corea è lo standard specialmente in questa fascia di prezzo. Nell'annuncio è menzionato un servizio di lavanderia ma di fatto non è presente l'asciugatrice il che rende imposibile lavare i vestiti. Siamo quindi dovuti andare in una lavanderia a gettoni.

The location is excellent for seeing the heart of Seoul- although bare in mind you do have to walk up a little steep hill. There is no kettle in the room however there is hot and cold water dispenser on the first floor. With Brown rice tea and coffee for free. The room is drafty(a common feature of old buildings in Seoul) so the host provided a heater. The bed linens were clean. The manager communicated really well and provided great instructions. The area positioning of the hotel means it is very quiet.

The room was drafty and there was no light in the bathroom. The water was hot on the first day, then there was no hot water on the second day. An unpleasant experiance. The floor was visibly dirty when I came in the room, I had to wipe it down myself. I opted for a twin room which was good as one cover was not sufficient for me-so I used both. There is zero soundproofing so I heard the conversations of couples. There were windows that looked onto just piles of old rusty pots and pans and clutter. The price is very high for the quality of this place but Seoul is expensive. On booking.com this is marked as "being like a home". It is no way like a home. It is a hostel.
